Austin Airport, formally known as the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA), is an international airport located in Austin, Texas, about 8 kilometers southeast of the city’s downtown area. The airport was named after Captain John August Earl Bergstrom, who was an officer with the 19th Bombardment Group. It is categorized as a Class C airport, which means it has a regular commercial passenger service of at least 100 passengers per flight.
