Also known as Logan International Airport or Boston Airport, the Boston Logan Airport is the largest in Massachusetts. It has been open since 1923, has four terminals, six runways, over 100 gate positions, and sees about 42.5 million passengers per year. The airport is named for General Edward Logan, who was a war hero from the Boston area.
The airport is also known as the easiest airport to get to from an article on Aviation.com in 2007. From ferries to limos and buses to trains, Boston Logan has a variety of both ground and water transportation options. For those who want to be pampered at the airport, check out one of their dozen lounges. They offer showers, food, drinks, reading material, and more. Also, with over 30 shops and 20 eateries, you won’t have to look far for food or other items.
But outside of the airport is where the real fun is. Located on a peninsula jutting out into the Massachusetts Bay, there is no shortage of beaches to enjoy. Constitution Beach is the closest at just over a mile from the airport. And right next to it is Orient Heights Beach, which has walking trails, picnic tables, and is a great place to watch the planes take off and land.
Fun Fact: The first lighthouse in the United States was built in Boston in 1716.

Convenient to the Met, which does not allow luggage at coat check. Very easy check in and check out process, with lovely people at the front!
This was so cool!!!! Great service, extremely easy to use, and totally affordable! I didn't know where I'd leave my luggage while we explored San Fran, so I easily Googled luggage storage and found this company. At first it was a little odd dropping my bag off at a chocolate store, but the lady at the register was able to immediately pull up my reservation without any problems and then she put a lock on my suitcase and gave me a card to get it back with. She pushed the bag to the back of their storage room and I came back about 6 hours later to pick it up. Great service, I will definitely be using this again when I travel!
Can’t believe I haven’t used this service until now. So easy & convenient. I 100% recommend.
