Chase Center Bag Policy 2021: The Ultimate Guide

24 March, 2021by Bounce

Located right in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, Chase Center is one of the country’s premier indoor arenas. Opened in 2019, the state-of-the-art arena is the home of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, who moved to the city from their previous home in Oakland when Chase Center was completed.

As well as the 18,000 seat arena itself, Chase Center is home to tons of shopping and dining options to keep you entertained before and after the game. Plus, thanks to its location in the city of San Francisco, there’s no end of things to do close to the arena. Chase Center is ideally located for further exploration of the city, so drop off your unneeded bags at a Chase Center luggage storage locker and enjoy your trip.

Chase Center bag policy

Whether you're attending a Warriors game or a concert, Chase Center recommends that people don't bring bags with them when they visit the arena. Backpacks of any size are not permitted inside Chase Center, but other bags are allowed, provided they don't exceed 14 inches by 14 inches by 6 inches in size. All bags are subject to search by security staff upon entering Chase Center.

Can you bring a bag into Chase Center?

All bags larger than the 14" x 14" x 6" limit can be stored in the bag valet location located on Warriors Way, but it’s often busy on game days and will set you back $10 if you want to store your bag there. If you don't want to use the Chase Center's bag check location, find a nearby Bounce luggage storage location to drop off your bags before going to the arena.

If you do bring a bag into Chase Center and lose any of your belongings, find a member of the Chase Center staff and the Guest Services Kiosk to help you with what to do next.

Other types of bag covered by Chase Center's policy

  • Binoculars are usually allowed but are subject to inspection upon entrance.

  • Diaper bags, bottles, and formula are permitted inside Chase Center. Many of the washrooms offer baby changing stations.

  • Backpacks with only one compartment (think drawstring bags) that are within the bag size limit will be permitted inside the Chase Center.

Chase Center lockers

Experiencing an event at Chase Center is worth making a trip by itself. But the arena’s waterfront location in the vibrant city of San Francisco is what really sets it apart. Make an event at the Center part of a larger trip so you can explore everything the City by the Bay has to offer. Chase Center is well served by San Francisco’s tram system, so it’s easy to get here from just about anywhere in the city. Drop off your bags at a suitcase storage point near Chase Center so you won’t be unnecessarily weighed down. Using a Bounce luggage locker means you can avoid the crowds at the stadium’s designated bag storage. It also gives you more options for leaving your bags in different areas of the city that are convenient for you.

Chase Center camera policy

In general, professional cameras and changeable lenses over 3 inches will not be allowed inside the Chase Center, and neither will any form of tripod, monopod, or selfie-stick.

When it comes to personal cameras and mobile phones, be aware that certain events will have their own additional camera policies, so make sure to check before you attend. Regardless of the event, Chase Center does also prohibit video and audio recording, so keep that in mind when you visit the stadium.

Chase Center food policy

Chase Center’s food policy at least has the advantage of being clear: no outside food or drink is allowed inside the arena. If you have special dietary requirements, it may be possible to get an exemption by emailing the stadium well in advance of your event.

Luckily, Chase Center has dining options to suit almost anyone. Bakesale Betty is the place to go for delicious fried chicken, while Big Nate’s BBQ offers pulled pork and brisket. City Bistro brings a taste of Louisiana to the Bay Area, and Hot Dog Bill’s is the best place to grab a hot dog or their famous burgerdog. There are also healthy options available from Kaiser Permanente. In short, you won’t go hungry when visiting Chase Center.
