About KL Sentral

The Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, also known as KL Sentral, is a major railway station in the capital of Malaysia. But it’s more than a train station. KL Sentral also refers to the 72-acre development built where the original train station used to be. Now, KL Sentral consists of several sections, including the transportation section, entertainment, hotels, offices, and residential areas.

Everything is within your reach from KL Sentral. You can walk to numerous religious facilities and museums, such as the National Museum and Sri Kandaswamy Temple along Jalan Scott, Brickfields. If you’re looking for a more natural space, there are trails, parks, and green areas just less than an hour’s walk from the train station. These include Bird Park, KL Butterfly Park, and Taman Tugu, a 66-acre green lung in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. You also don’t have to go far to shop or eat—the entertainment area includes over one million square feet of shopping, many eateries, and clubs.

With so many things to do within and around KL Sentral, you won’t want heavy bags slowing you down. Drop them off at a nearby storage point to keep your personal belongings safe while you’re out and about.

Are there luggage lockers at KL Sentral?

Yes. KL Sentral has automated lockers available in three sizes, each costing up to RM50.00. They’re located on Levels 1 and 2. Be sure to pick the right size of locker for your things because you cannot check its exact size until you open it.

With Bounce, you don’t have to worry about the size or weight of your backpack or suitcase. We’re great for oversized luggage and won’t charge you extra for larger bags. For only RM 20.00, you access our secure luggage storage options around the KL Sentral area. If you want to store a large item but are unsure if it fits your chosen storage point, you can contact our customer support team to direct you to a partner store that matches your storage needs.

The National Museum of Malaysia

Completed in August 1963, the National Museum is an unmissable spot in Kuala Lumpur. It’s housed in an imposing building that showcases the traditional Malay structure. Here, visitors can discover the process behind the Earth’s formation, gain insight into early civilizations, and learn about the stone tools’ evolution through the artifacts displayed in the permanent galleries. It also highlights the country’s colonial era and the important figures that helped Malaysia obtain freedom from the foreign forces that once colonized it.

The National Museum has storage facilities at the information counter. However, the storage racks may fill up quickly, especially during peak tourist season. They may also be unable to accommodate oversized items. Book with an alternative service like Bounce to store your bulky bags, backpack or suitcase and leave your luggage woes behind.

Tun Abdul Razak Memorial House

Just minutes from the National Museum and the Botanical Gardens was the official residence of Tun Abdul Razak, a former Malaysian Prime Minister. The house where he lived from 1962 to his death in 1976 is now a memorial museum, divided into two sections. The first section contains his personal possessions, including a speed boat, his favorite golf buggy, and a collection of walking sticks. The second section features a collection of materials related to his achievements and activities while serving as a leader in Malaysia.
