About Barcelona Nord Bus Station

Barcelona Nord has an extensive history that stretches back to 1862, and the station was given many purposes over the years. For the first 110 years, Barcelona Nord was Barcelona’s primary railway station. The city changed its railway routes, and Barcelona Nord went unused for over a decade.

The 1992 Summer Olympics led to a revival of the station, and the facility became a venue for that year’s table tennis competition. City officials added a police station, and the station’s architecture received a much-needed facelift.

Today, Barcelona Nord provides consistent service throughout Catalonia and other regions of Spain. The station gives passengers a comfortable journey with shops, restaurants, cafés, ATMs, free WIFI, power stations, and several waiting areas.

Passengers have easy access to the Barcelona Metro and regional rail system that serves the community. Calle de Alí Bei connects passengers to the bus station, and lifts are available to help those with physical limitations.
