This is one of the world’s greatest art galleries and houses a collection from the glory days of Spain and its empire, along with renowned artists from around the world. Even if art isn’t really your thing, you’re bound to find something you like here. You’ll need at least three to four hours here, and even then, you’ll only be scratching the surface. Still, it’s a chance to see some of the greatest works of art ever created, so it’s well worth making the time during your Madrid layover.
