Frequently
asked questions

  • How much does luggage storage cost in Baku?

We charge from $5.90 per day (24 hours) for luggage storage in Baku.

  • Does Baku have luggage lockers?

Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Baku.

  • How does Bounce luggage storage work?

We partner with local businesses around the world who have secure spaces to store luggage for travelers. Just tell us how many bags you have and when you need storage, and we'll show you convenient places you can keep your stuff safe while you explore.

Booking online is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes. To keep our partners and your stuff safe, we'll show you the address of the store once you book online. When you're ready, head to the store and show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation so they can take your bags and securely store them right away. Then you can enjoy your day without having to worry about your bags!

To pick up your bags, show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation and they'll hand over your stuff. That's it!
  • Where is my luggage stored?

We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.

  • What can I store with Bounce?

Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered.

We don't charge extra for oversized items, but some special items might need to be approved before you can store them. For example, surfboards, guitars, car seats, bicycles, or skis take up a lot of space, so let us know if you have them. We can check with the Bounce Partner for you to make sure they have room for your stuff.
  • Is there hourly luggage storage in Baku?

Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Baku.

  • How long can I leave my luggage with Bounce?

Whether you need storage for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we've got you covered! Just put in the dates and times you need luggage storage and we'll show you all of the available locations on our map. For long-term storage lasting more than a week, reach out to us and we'll help you find a convenient location.

If you're already storing your stuff but you need more time, you can add more time from your booking details page. Just make sure the store will be open and you can get your bags before your new pickup time.
  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

Plans change, we get it! If you need to change or cancel your booking for any reason, the best way to do it is from your booking details page in the Bounce app. You can edit the dates, drop-off and pick-up times, and number of bags. You can also cancel your booking or rebook at a nearby store. If you can't find your booking details, check the email address you used to make your booking. You can change your booking by following the link there, or reach out to us if you need support.

About Baku

Baku is the largest city on the Caspian Sea, and the largest in the country of Azerbaijan. Located 92 feet below sea level, it is the lowest-lying capital city in the world. Known as the City of Winds due to the strong gales that blow through the area, Baku is home to over two million people.

Long isolated as a Soviet Republic, Baku has recently become a venue for international events. It hosted the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, the 2015 European Games, the 2019 UEFA Europa League soccer final, and was scheduled to host some games of the UEFA Euro 2020 international soccer tournament until the coronavirus pandemic postponed the competition.

As a crossroads between Europe and Asia, Baku has seen rulers come and go. After the long reign of the Shirvanshahs, Safavids, Russians, Iranians, and Russians again all held sway in the area. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan became independent. Its vast oil and gas wealth has seen the capital grow and develop at a rapid pace ever since.

Things to do in Baku

Given its long history, it's no wonder that Baku has plenty of historic attractions. But this is not a city that focuses only on past glories. Baku is a place that embraces the future and is rapidly opening itself up to foreign visitors.

  • See Baku's most iconic site at the Maiden Tower. Built in the 12th century, the origins and purpose of this tower are shrouded in mystery. Whatever the truth may be, the tower remains an icon of the city, and even appears on Azerbaijani banknotes.
  • Explore the ancient heart of Baku at Icherisheher. This UNESCO World Heritage site dates back to at least the 12th-century and may be far older. Wander the ancient streets and experience the unique vibe of the city's beating heart.
  • Delve into Azerbaijani culture at the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. Just like nearby Iran, Azerbaijan has a proud tradition of carpet making, and that history is celebrated at this quirky Museum. Housed in a modern building designed to resemble a rolled carpet, it's a fun way to learn more about this aspect of Baku's culture.
  • See the opulence of a vanished civilization at the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. Built in the 15th century, this sprawling complex was the home of the Shirvanshah rulers of Azerbaijan and the center of power in the city. Now, it is open to the public and allows visitors to learn more about the history of this ancient dynasty.
  • Take in a show at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The country's main exhibition and conference center, this ultramodern building has hosted a variety of different events in its short life. It's also home to Mini Azerbaijan, a miniature reconstruction of some of the country's most notable buildings.

Transit options in Baku

  • Baku International Airport is just outside the city and is the country’s busiest, receiving flights from around the world. An express bus takes visitors from the airport to the heart of the city.
  • Baku's subway system has three lines and 25 stations, allowing you to reach all of the city's most important attractions easily.
  • Baku has an extensive bus network which is constantly being developed to serve the city better. Public transit is cheap, but buses can be crowded.

Luggage storage in Baku

Baku is a city you simply have to see for yourself. And often, the best way to do that is on foot. While major improvements are being made to Baku's transit system, it still faces challenges, and often, if you can walk to a destination, that's the best way to go.

Getting around will be easier if you leave heavy bags at a Bounce luggage storage shop in Baku. Store any size of bags for as long as you need to so that you can travel in comfort and know your belongings are safely looked after.

Activities and attractions near Baku

  • Yanar Dag: See a fire that never goes out at this site outside of Baku. This natural gas fire has been burning continuously since at least the 1950s. Flames  shoot up to a height of 10 feet on occasion, making this a dramatic place to visit, especially at night. See why Azerbaijan is known as the land of fire at this truly unique natural phenomenon. You can make the trip easier on yourself by dropping off your extra bags at a Baku luggage storage shop  before you visit.
  • Crescent Beach: Soak up the sun at one of Baku's premier beach resorts at Crescent Beach. This luxurious private beach is owned by the Crescent Hotel and was the first of its kind in Baku. Take a dip in the Caspian Sea, get some sun on a tanning bed, or enjoy Azerbaijani cuisine in the hotel's restaurant while you take in the view over the water. You won't want to bring large bags to the beach, so drop off your belongings at a luggage storage service in Baku before you visit.
  • Mardakan: Known for its quadrangular fortress built in the 12th century, Mardakan is an extremely well-preserved city that allows you a glimpse back in time to the heyday of the Shirvanshahs. This UNESCO World Heritage site is only 30 minutes from Baku, but make sure to drop off your heavy bags before making the trip to this stunning city.
