- National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam: You can see over 20,000 specimens, both alive and preserved at this college museum on Cau Da. Corals, groupers, eels, rayfish, sharks, and sea turtles are waiting to get a selfie with you. Don’t miss the giant clam and the giant flying cuttlefish. The humpback whale skeleton and the large dugong skeleton are really cool to see up close. Check out the fishing boats and tools while you are there too.
- The Yersin Museum: The Yersin Museum on Tran Phu is dedicated to Dr. Alex Yersin, a popular scientist in Vietnam in the late 1800s. Although he was from Switzerland, he spent much of his life in Vietnam and even discovered the microbe to help cure the bubonic plague. See his office and many of his tools and other artifacts as well as dioramas and a film about his life.
- Khanh Hoa Museum: Found on Tran Phu, the Khanh Hoa Museum has almost 10,000 artifacts and thousands of photos and documents to see. Some of the most interesting items include a weapon collection from the 15th to the 18th century, ancient coins from the 10th century, and a stone axe from the Con Hamlet culture 3,500 years ago. Much of the items were found at six shipwreck sites, while others were found in different archeological sites in Vietnam.

- Malls: Maximark on Thai Nguyen Street may call itself a supermarket, but it is really a huge department store with groceries and eateries. From apparel to toys and apples to tofu, you can find it all in this four-story building. You can even watch a movie at the cinema. And the Nha Trang Centre on Tran Phu has 120 shops and restaurants, a cinema, a bowling alley, and a karaoke bar.
- Markets: The Nha Trang Market along Ben Cho is the largest market in town. They have handmade items as well as food and souvenirs. The Vinh Luong Market on National Road has fresh seafood just caught from the ocean and other items like produce and snacks. And the Cho Xom Moi Market on Ngo Gia Tu or the Dam Market on Van Thanh are also great places to shop.
- Specialty Shops: Vietnam is the perfect place for authentic pearls. Long Beach Pearls on Nguyen Thien Thuat, Hoang Gia Pearl on Tran Phu, or Saigon Pearl on Hung Vuong are some local favorites. For artwork, XQ Su Quan on Tran Phu is the place to go. Also, the Kissa House on To Hien Thanh, Minh Nguyen Trading Company on Ngo Duc Ke, and Shop My Gift on Le Thanh Ton are great souvenir shops.

And the Pita GR Restaurant on Hung Vuong has some of the most unique burgers in Vietnam with tasty fries and drinks on the side.
- Desserts: For some of the best crepes and ice cream, Romy’s Ice Cream and Coffee Bar on Biet Thu Street is perfect. At Ice Pan on Tran Phu Street 3rd floor, you can get ice pops with fresh fruit as well as a variety of ice creams. If you want baked goods, ABC Bakery on Ly Thanh Ton has some of the most delightful cupcakes, cakes, and other yummy treats.
