At first glance, one might think that Gare du Palais is a castle of some sort. In reality, it’s one of the most frequently used train and bus stations in Québec City. Gare du Palais (or “Palace Station” in English,) was built centuries ago, in 1915. However, records indicate that there were plans to build Gare du Palais back in 1850, at least. Esteemed Architect H. E. Prindle drafted the original designs for Palace Station. From the get-go, it was clear that Prindle had something special in mind for this project.
Prindle was inspired by the architecture of Loire Valley and wanted to give Gare du Palais a “Château de la Loire” aesthetic. This is the reason why this building looks more like an ornate castle or a mansion than a train station. Gare du Palais is easily one of Québec City’s most iconic landmarks; a visit to “la Capitale Nationale” isn’t complete without a quick stroll through the station. Guests are also more than welcome to immortalize their visit with pictures and videos of Gare du Palais.
One might not think that there are many activities to do at a train station. Normally, they’d be right. However, Gare du Palais isn’t an ordinary train station by any means. The interior of Gare du Palais is lined with stained-glass murals and statues of all kinds. A visitor could spend an entire afternoon simply admiring the artistry of. Guests can also participate in the act of “railfanning.”This activity simply consists of watching and admiring trains as they arrive and depart from the station. Gare du Palais is also located near several of Québec City’s biggest attractions. While visiting Gare du Palais, Bounce recommends that guests check out the following points of interest.

“La Capitale Nationale” means “the National Capital” in English. That isn’t just a catchy nickname; Québec City is the capital of the province of Québec, as well as one of its most populated cities. As of 2017, Québec’s population has exceeded the 542,298 mark. About 4.6 million tourists visit the beautiful National Capital each year. About 1.1 million of those visitors hail from countries outside of Canada. On the one hand, Québec City is a melting pot where people from all around the world can meet each other. On the other hand, Québec City can get really packed during tourist season. Guests shouldn’t have to worry about finding a place to store their things in the province's capital. Basilique-Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Québec is one of the most revered landmarks in Québec City. This cathedral was built adjacent to the Notre Dame de la Recouvrance chapel. Basilique-Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Québec is a stunning example of reverence and peace. One can’t overstate how much the people of Québec City cherish this venue. Luggage Storage Near Terrasse Dufferin
One of the first buildings that many visitors take notice of is Château Frontenac; this massive hotel has been around since 1893 and has been renovated several times. Now owned by Parks Canada, guests are free to roam the Terrasse to their heart’s content. It's a must-do stop, along with Old Québec. Guests will find plenty of room to stretch their legs and appreciate the area’s atmosphere. Don't be weighed down by your bags. Visitors won’t find too many places to store their luggage here, so they should use Bounce ahead of time.
Convenient to the Met, which does not allow luggage at coat check. Very easy check in and check out process, with lovely people at the front!
This was so cool!!!! Great service, extremely easy to use, and totally affordable! I didn't know where I'd leave my luggage while we explored San Fran, so I easily Googled luggage storage and found this company. At first it was a little odd dropping my bag off at a chocolate store, but the lady at the register was able to immediately pull up my reservation without any problems and then she put a lock on my suitcase and gave me a card to get it back with. She pushed the bag to the back of their storage room and I came back about 6 hours later to pick it up. Great service, I will definitely be using this again when I travel!
Can’t believe I haven’t used this service until now. So easy & convenient. I 100% recommend.
I used Bounce during a recent trip to NYC, and I was pleasantly surprised at the ease and convenience of the process. To be honest, at first, I was very apprehensive. The thought of leaving your stuff at a random store, in a place where you are not from and you don't know whether is safe or not, it doesn't matter if anyone gives it a seal of approval, its difficult to be completely comfortable with the idea. However, I was very glad to be proven wrong. The place I chose was a great, clean bodega/deli in Soho and they were very responsive and the whole process felt very seamless. It was our last day in NYC and we had the full day before leaving the city, however our Airbnb was on the upper east side so we did not want to have to go back and forth. I would definitely recommend Bounce for travelers, especially when you need a place to just store your luggage for the day. The price could not be beat (since its for the whole day) and I will definitely be using this again!
Fantastic experience with Bounce! Stored a bag at the Grand Central location and on my last day at the 9/11 Memorial location. Both locations had friendly, efficient staff that were helpful and made everything very easy. Such a great option if your hotel isn't ready or you don't want the hassle of a bag in the city. Great, safe option. Thanks Bounce!
