Things to do near Sapporo Station
JR Tower
This very tall landmark is two minutes from the Sapporo Station area. This is actually part of the station building itself, and it offers you the chance to enjoy excellent views from 173 meters up in the air. The observation deck offers 360-degree views of the entire city and is very easy to access even if you have mobility challenges. On clear days you can see the sea and the entire city spread out below you.
Odori Park
If you can tackle a 14-block walk, you can head over to Odori Park with ease from Osaka Station. The Sapporo TV tower is located here and there are lots of walking paths and beautiful fountains. Kids typically play in the water in the fountains, and there are often street food vendors here selling tasty concoctions. Aurora Town and Pole Town
These two shopping areas are located under Odori Park. They are connected to the station via an underground tunnel.
