Frequently
asked questions

  • How much does luggage storage cost in Stuttgart?

We charge from €5.00 per day (24 hours) for luggage storage in Stuttgart.

  • Does Stuttgart have luggage lockers?

Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Stuttgart.

  • How does Bounce luggage storage work?

We partner with local businesses around the world who have secure spaces to store luggage for travelers. Just tell us how many bags you have and when you need storage, and we'll show you convenient places you can keep your stuff safe while you explore.

Booking online is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes. To keep our partners and your stuff safe, we'll show you the address of the store once you book online. When you're ready, head to the store and show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation so they can take your bags and securely store them right away. Then you can enjoy your day without having to worry about your bags!

To pick up your bags, show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation and they'll hand over your stuff. That's it!
  • Where is my luggage stored?

We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.

  • What can I store with Bounce?

Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered.

We don't charge extra for oversized items, but some special items might need to be approved before you can store them. For example, surfboards, guitars, car seats, bicycles, or skis take up a lot of space, so let us know if you have them. We can check with the Bounce Partner for you to make sure they have room for your stuff.
  • Is there hourly luggage storage in Stuttgart?

Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Stuttgart.

  • How long can I leave my luggage with Bounce?

Whether you need storage for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we've got you covered! Just put in the dates and times you need luggage storage and we'll show you all of the available locations on our map. For long-term storage lasting more than a week, reach out to us and we'll help you find a convenient location.

If you're already storing your stuff but you need more time, you can add more time from your booking details page. Just make sure the store will be open and you can get your bags before your new pickup time.
  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

Plans change, we get it! If you need to change or cancel your booking for any reason, the best way to do it is from your booking details page in the Bounce app. You can edit the dates, drop-off and pick-up times, and number of bags. You can also cancel your booking or rebook at a nearby store. If you can't find your booking details, check the email address you used to make your booking. You can change your booking by following the link there, or reach out to us if you need support.

About Stuttgart

With a population of over 600,000 people, Stuttgart is the 6th largest city in Germany. Capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg, it is consistently ranked as one of the best cities in Europe for quality of life. Partly, this is because of its low levels of unemployment. Also, the recreational opportunities in and around the city make it a great place both to live and to visit.

Stuttgart has existed since before the Romans conquered it, but the city really came into its own beginning in the 15th century. This is when it became the capital of the region and the seat of the local nobility. In 1805, the kingdom of Württemberg was formed with Stuttgart as its capital. This kingdom proved to be short-lived, however, and Stuttgart joined Germany in 1871.

Stuttgart is the birthplace not just of the German automobile industry, but of the concept of the automobile itself. Karl Benz invented the first car in Stuttgart in 1886, and the resulting popularity of this mode of transport transformed the city. Stuttgart is still the home of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, and the car industry remains a major employer in the city.

Things to do in Stuttgart

Stuttgart is a modern city with ancient origins. As such, it has something to offer just about everyone. Whether you’re interested in historic sites, culture, modern design, or the great outdoors, you’ll find it here.

  • Marvel at artistic masterpieces at the Staatsgalerie. Founded in 1843, this expansive gallery is home to work by Matisse, Picasso, Salvador Dali, Rembrandt, and other world-famous artists.
  • Celebrate a more modern art form at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The striking building tells the story of car manufacture from its origins in 1886 up to the present-day. The museum is home to some of the most impressive cars manufactured by this legendary brand, and is a must visit for gearheads.
  • Get some fresh air and impressive views at Killesbergpark. The expansive gardens of the city park are known for their impressive floral displays. Don't miss the Killesbergturm, a 130-foot tower you can climb for views over the city and the Neckar Valley beyond.
  • Do some shopping on Konigstrasse. Stuttgart's main shopping street is right in the heart of the city, and this pedestrianized boulevard is one of the country's most popular. You'll find all of the most popular brands along this street, along with plenty of bars, cafés, and restaurants for refreshment on the way.
  • Travel the world without leaving Stuttgart at the Linden Museum. This anthropological museum is often considered one of the finest in Europe, and houses priceless artifacts from around the world and across centuries.

Transit options in Stuttgart

  • Stuttgart has a light rail system known as the Stadtbahn. In the center of the city, the system runs underground as a subway and can take you to all of the city’s most interesting attractions.
  • Stuttgart's main railway station is a regional hub, and offers services to all other German cities. There are also international intercity trains to destinations such as Vienna, Zurich, and Paris.
  • Stuttgart Airport lies to the south of the city and can be reached via Stadtbahn lines S2 and S3.

Luggage storage in Stuttgart

The automobile industry may have shaped the city of Stuttgart, but it's a very easy place to explore without a car. The pedestrianized streets of the city center beg to be explored on foot, and the efficient subway system makes it easy to travel through the city.

The best thing to do is drop off any heavy bags you don't need at a Bounce luggage storage service in Stuttgart. That way, you will be able to travel lighter and see everything this unique city has to offer.
