About Aberdeen Train Station
Aberdeen Train Station is the one and only train station in the city, servicing a range of different trains including inter-city, local, regional and even sleeper trains. The station is managed by Abellio ScotRail and transports passengers all around Scotland and Great Britain.
The station was built between 1913 and 1916 as a replacement for a previous station that stood in the same spot. It was the last major train station to be built in the country during this time so has been awarded Category A status by the Historic Environment Scotland. Over the years the station has been developed and expanded to cater for new lines, helping to connect Aberdeen with other major destinations across Great Britain. The 5-platform station now plays an important role in the transportation of the city’s residents as well as travelers looking to get to and from the city.
