Store Your Luggage Around Abu Dhabi With Bounce

Visiting an island in the Persian Gulf is glorious, whether you are on business or vacationing for pleasure. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and has a population of 1.4 million residents. Much of the area is still full of historic buildings and ruins from the Umm an-Nar Culture thought to be dated back to 3000 BC. The trade on the island ranges from oil to pearls, with various other industries like tourism and sports.

The hot desert climate makes it a nice sunny vacation spot for many, although the temperatures can get mighty hot from May through June. The highs during these months are typically above 100 degrees, so you will need to pack a lot of water and sunscreen. Being an island, of course, you can find a lot of beautiful beaches to enjoy. Corniche Beach on Corniche Road is a popular place with the locals, as is Al Bateen Beach on Khaleej Al Arabi Street.

If you would rather visit someplace dryer, take a tour of the desert. Take a desert safari trip, dune buggy tour, or visit the Arabian Nights Village. You can also take a boat tour of the sea, dine at some awesome eateries, or just do some shopping. Don’t forget to check out local cultural spots to learn about the history of the area.

  • Louvre Abu Dhabi: In the center of Mohamed Bin Khalifa Street and Al Karamah Street, this stunning building created by award-winning architect Jean Nouvel is full of history and beauty. This gives you a type of journey through history like you have never seen it.
  • Hili Archaeological Park: On the road to Dubai, this outdoor museum is unique and is popular with the locals as well as tourists. Most of the park's monuments were built from 2500 to 2000 BC during the Umm an-Nar period. The center point is the Grand Tomb, which is a circle almost 40 feet in diameter and 13 feet tall. They have Bronze Age settlements and forts, as well as many artifacts surrounded by a vibrant garden.
  • Founder’s Memorial: Located on Breakwater and Corniche Roads, you can find an archaeological masterpiece dedicated to the life of Sheikh Zayed, who founded the United Arab Emirates. The memorial has several ways to celebrate the Sheikh’s achievements from stories to nature and art to multimedia form. The garden is full of medicinal plants and native flowers.
