Airport travel from Alicante Bus Station
You can get to the city center on the C6 bus. This is the primary way to get from the Alicante Elche Airport to the middle of the Alicante area. Many people choose to head to the city center to see the central market or to check out other sites of interest and ride this bus line to save money and arrive in a timely fashion. Buses leave the airport every 20 minutes and cost $3.85.
Getting around Alicante from Alicante Bus Station
The Basilica of St. Mary of Alicante is a 20-minute walk from the Alicante bus station. Much of the city in this area is comprised of beautiful old architecture and there are often street vendors selling food and souvenirs who you will pass along the way.
If you want to head to the beach, you can get on the ALSA bus line which heads to Benidorm. This ride is 45 minutes long and costs $7-$11. Benidorm Beach is the best-known of the tourist-friendly beaches in the area, but you can also visit smaller beaches like El Campello or Playa del Postiguet Beach.
If you are interested in something really fun and unique, get on the ferry and head to Tabarca Island. It is $23 for a round-trip ticket to head out here. More expensive and fancier options to travel to the island are Catamaran boats or private trips with the help of a local. The island is a great place to snorkel, enjoy the sunshine, and take memorable pictures.
