About Chester Station

Chester Station is a railway station located in Chester, England. Chester Station is one of the busiest train stations in the northwest of England, due to its position along the Welsh border. Chester Station features railway lines that run to many of the UK's major cities, including Liverpool, London, Manchester, and Cardiff. 

Chester Station was constructed in the mid-1800s by Thomas Brassey and was designed by Francis Thompson. The station features an ornate Italianate facade with a large clock face. In 2007, Chester Station received a government grant of over a million pounds to improve the station's facilities. These improvements included remodeling the concourse and updating the architecture. 

This train station is located just a short walk northeast of Chester's city center and is an ideal place to start exploring the city. Chester Station is an important transport hub and provides access to lots of forms of public transport and many of Chester's best attractions.
