Frequently
asked questions

  • How much does luggage storage cost in Levanto?

We charge from €4.30 per day (24 hours) for luggage storage in Levanto.

  • Does Levanto have luggage lockers?

Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Levanto.

  • How does Bounce luggage storage work?

We partner with local businesses around the world who have secure spaces to store luggage for travelers. Just tell us how many bags you have and when you need storage, and we'll show you convenient places you can keep your stuff safe while you explore.

Booking online is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes. To keep our partners and your stuff safe, we'll show you the address of the store once you book online. When you're ready, head to the store and show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation so they can take your bags and securely store them right away. Then you can enjoy your day without having to worry about your bags!

To pick up your bags, show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation and they'll hand over your stuff. That's it!
  • Where is my luggage stored?

We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.

  • What can I store with Bounce?

Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered.

We don't charge extra for oversized items, but some special items might need to be approved before you can store them. For example, surfboards, guitars, car seats, bicycles, or skis take up a lot of space, so let us know if you have them. We can check with the Bounce Partner for you to make sure they have room for your stuff.
  • Is there hourly luggage storage in Levanto?

Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Levanto.

  • How long can I leave my luggage with Bounce?

Whether you need storage for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we've got you covered! Just put in the dates and times you need luggage storage and we'll show you all of the available locations on our map. For long-term storage lasting more than a week, reach out to us and we'll help you find a convenient location.

If you're already storing your stuff but you need more time, you can add more time from your booking details page. Just make sure the store will be open and you can get your bags before your new pickup time.
  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

Plans change, we get it! If you need to change or cancel your booking for any reason, the best way to do it is from your booking details page in the Bounce app. You can edit the dates, drop-off and pick-up times, and number of bags. You can also cancel your booking or rebook at a nearby store. If you can't find your booking details, check the email address you used to make your booking. You can change your booking by following the link there, or reach out to us if you need support.

Store your luggage around Levanto with Bounce

The Italian Riviera is one of the most luxurious places in Italy to visit, and Cinque Terre and Genoa tend to get all the headlines, but there are plenty of amazing towns along this stretch of coastline to visit. Levanto is one of the true gems of the Ligurian coast, with luxurious hotels, quaint shops and cafes, unbelievable seafood, and plenty of rich history to unpack. Of course, there’s the sandy Spiaggia Levanto to enjoy, with a few miles of golden sand and epic views of the Mediterranean.

Being a tiny fishing village, Levanto has a delightful town center with piazzas and cobbled streets. While this is hardly specific to Levanto, or even Italy, it is the perfect center of operations for exploring nearby towns in the Cinque Terre, Genoa, and La Spezia.

Whether you’re sticking in town for your whole trip or galavanting up and down the coast, it never hurts to prepare for your trip to Levanto. Here’s a quick guide for where to go, what to do, and where to put your bags:

Luggage storage in Levanto

Between Levanto’s stellar beachfront, the winding cobbled streets, and the day trips, Levanto isn’t the easiest place to get around. If you’re stuck with your luggage on travel days or are taking an afternoon in Cinque Terre, you’ll want to find a secure place to store your bags. There are limited train station lockers or left luggage services in these towns, but they are nowhere near as reliable as a luggage storage service like Bounce.

Bounce allows you to easily find and book luggage storage via our intuitive app. Luggage storage also comes with 24/7 support and plenty of guarantees so that you won’t have to worry about your belongings while you’re supposed to be enjoying your trip.

Levanto city guide

Top things to do in Levanto

Most visitors tend to spend their time in Levanto on the gorgeous beach, but the fun doesn’t end at the Spiaggia Levanto. There are miles upon miles of craggy coastline to explore, with cliffs and trails to hike through and catch some breathtaking views. The train snakes up and down the coast, so you’ll be able to get to other towns to fully experience the Italian Riviera.

There are world-class seafood restaurants, wine bars, trattorias, delis, and bakeries to indulge in. Of course, this region is steeped in history, so it’s easy to find an old castle or church to learn about. There’s even some good shopping if you need a bit of retail therapy. Here are a few ideas for what to do while you’re in Levanto:

Museums in Levanto

Church of Sant'Andrea:

This Medieval church is located right in Levanto's city center overlooking the Piazza of the same name. Its Romanesque exterior features are gorgeous, with a stone facade adorned with intricate carvings of animals and human figures. It’s an easy stop when you’re exploring or shopping, and you’ll want to snap a few pics of this gorgeous church to prove you didn’t spend the entire trip at the beach or in a wine bar.

Church of Sant'Andrea Bag Policy

There isn't a clearly stated bag policy for this church, but it's more polite to other visitors if you don't bring your roller bag or larger items inside.

Castello San Giorgio

Located in nearby La Spezia, this medieval fortress is one of the most important historical landmarks in the Italian Riviera. Perched atop a stony hill overlooking the city, the Castello San Giorgio has been renovated and re-purposed into a comfortable visitor center where you can learn about the region’s history. That’s all fascinating but what you’ll REALLY enjoy is touring the castle grounds and enjoying sweeping views of this seaside town. It's a short walk from La Spezia Centrale Station, so it's a simple afternoon trip.

Castello San Giorgio’s Bag Policy

There isn't a bag policy for the castle, but dropping your luggage off will simplify the logistics for reaching this hilltop landmark.

Ex Gallerie

The best thing the city of Levanto ever did was relocate its train tracks from the waterfront further inland. This not only freed up space for visitors and locals to enjoy its stellar beaches, but it also allowed the city to clean up the tracks and repurpose them into walking and cycling paths. This unique stretch was resurfaced, but there are still plenty of the old features that let visitors know they’re walking through an old train track, so it’s a fascinating and entirely unique place to take a stroll through.

Ex Gallerie Bag Policy

This is more of a historical landmark than a museum, so don't expect any rules against bringing your bags, but there also won't be any storage options onsite.

Most of these historical landmarks are difficult to reach and offer limited amenities. It's unlikely you'll find storage lockers on site, so dropping your bags off at a luggage storage facility is the best way to lighten the load.

Shopping in Levanto

Via Jacopo da Levanto and Corso Italia

The two main streets of Levanto’s historic city center center are filled with cafés, boutiques, and specialty stores. You’ll find mostly artisanal shops and souvenir stores along Via Jacopo, and Corso Italia will have fashion boutiques and gelaterias on its stretch from the train station to the waterfront. Popular boutiques include Amelie for women’s clothing, Profumeria Via Dante 33  for accessories, and Brothers Surf House for surfing gear and lessons.

Take a day trip to Genoa

Levanto has many charms, but it’s a smaller city without the amenities of a place like nearby Genoa. If you’re exploring the Italian Riviera, a stop in Genoa will provide exceptional shopping opportunities that you can’t find in Cinque Terre or Levanto.

In the city center, the main shopping streets are the infinitely chic Via XX Settembre and Via Roma for fashion boutiques and designer brands. Galleria Mazzini and Piazza De Ferrari are both popular shopping destinations for cultural experiences, luxury retail, and an historic setting. If you want to go a little more off the beaten path for a unique experience, the Via San Luca and Via Orefici are alleys where you’ll find souvenir shops, antique stores, and tiny cafés tucked away from the hordes of tourists.

Fiumara Shopping Center

Located just outside of Genoa, the Italian Riviera’s largest shopping center offers everything you’ll need from retail space. Every recognizable international brand has a presence here, either at their own boutiques or through department stores. A stop at Fiumara is perfect if you need to make practical purchases or if you forgot to pack something.

If you're stuck with heavy bags or luggage while you're trying to shop around, it's beneficial to find a secure place for a luggage drop. That's why Bounce places its storage facilities near retail hubs.

Restaurants in Levanto

Restaurant L'Oasi

This boutique hotel is home to one of the best restaurants in Levanto. Located along the Piazza Cavour, the Hotel L'Oasi also represents one of the best hotel options in Levanto, with attractive decor that’s been updated but still suits the historic setting. You’ll want a table on the garden’s veranda, especially for a breezy lunch in the sun. The restaurant is actually family-run and serves traditional Ligurian seafood with some minor contemporary flourishes. Everything is of the highest quality and sourced directly from local producers and fishing sources.

Antica Trattoria Centro

Perhaps the most highly recommended restaurant in Levanto, this traditional trattoria specializes in authentic Ligurian seafood. Catch-of-the-day options pulled just steps away from Levanto’s harbor are the most popular option here, but the mussels served in a tomato-based broth are likely the best menu item. It’s an upscale place better suited for special occasions than a casual meal, but it’s still comfortable and approachable.

Pizzeria La Mela

Sometimes, you just need to take a break from super-fancy seafood and indulge in a slice of pizza. While this cozy family-run spot may lack the frills of the other restaurants on this list, it’s still a relatively upscale pizzeria that’s both comfortable and high-quality. You’ll find this wood-fired pizza tasty, with the tangy dough and char complementing the ultra-fresh toppings in true Northern Italian style. This is the perfect spot for the whole family or for when you need some familiar comfort food.

Restaurants in Levantó and the Italian Riviera tend to be compact, family-run places. It's not always appropriate to bring a large suitcase or roller bag to dinner, so it's best to store luggage before heading out for a few hours.

Conclusion

Between the stellar scenery, amazing weather, and incredible cultural offerings, the Italian Riviera represents one of the best travel experiences you can have. That’s why Bounce serves this region with our reliable luggage storage service. We’ve also put together travel guides for cities near Levanto, like La Spezia, Riomaggiore, and Monterosso al Mare. Bounce is easily the best luggage storage Levanto has to offer so that you’re well taken care of on your trip to this gorgeous corner of Italy!
