About Stockholm Central Station

Stockholm Central Station is Sweden's biggest and busiest. Receiving nearly 200,000 passengers each day, the station is a busy place no matter what time of year you visit. First opened in 1871, the station has gone through several expansions to accommodate the ever-growing number of passengers. Being located close to the heart of the city, Stockholm Central Station is many visitors’ first glimpse of Stockholm itself.

As you'd expect from such a big busy station, Stockholm Central has everything travelers might need to make for a more pleasant journey, including cafés, grocery stores, bookstores, and other amenities. It’s also connected through an underground passage to the subway and the  main bus station. As a result, Stockholm Central forms the hub of the city's expansive transit network, and makes it easy to reach almost any point in Stockholm from the station.

As you take off from the train station, be sure to find somewhere to stash your bags. You won’t want to drag your things all over town with you, and why should you when we offer plenty of convenient locations nearby?
