Centro Comercial Parc Central

Although the Tarragona Central Market offers mostly food rather than clothing and items, it’s still a unique place to go shopping and offers an authentic local experience. The market stalls carry fresh meat, fish, fruits and veggies, nuts, cheeses, olive oils, and more, as well as cooked meats and prepared seafood dishes. The bakery department also serves ready-to-eat snacks, pastries, and baked goods.

Their menu consists of permanent favorites and dishes that change regularly, so there’s always something new to try. The tasting menu is always a solid choice when you don’t know what to order; it includes dishes like salmon tartar, pan con tomate, almond and garlic confit soup, and veal cannelloni.

El Terrat Restaurant

El Terrat offers the complete authentic Tarragona dining experience, from its food to the plating to the restaurant’s decor. They use produce from nearby farms and fishermen to offer the freshest and cleanest flavors. Airport

Tarragona’s nearest major airport is in Barcelona. From the Tarragona train station, you can catch a train directly to the Barcelona airport in a little over one hour. You’ll have to pay for a train ticket, but they’re affordable at about €15.00.

Train

Tarragona's train station connects it not just to Barcelona but to train stations in other cities throughout Spain and beyond. A high-speed line runs through Tarragona from Barcelona to Alicante, and other trains go to Madrid and France. If Barcelona is your day trip destination of choice, you can get there in just over an hour, and the ticket price will be close to €12.00.

Bus

Tarragona has a reliable bus network that can get you to most areas of the city and uses the Tarragona station as a hub. However, as an ancient city, many of Tarragona's main attractions can also be easily reached on foot. In general, bus ticket prices in Spain range between €1.40 and €1.60.
