Austin is the capital city and the 4th most populous city in the state of Texas. For years, Austin has been consistently listed in the top 10 best cities to live in, even getting the first spot in the years 2017 and 2018. This can be attributed to the city’s diverse mix of musicians, tech workers, college students, LGBTQ individuals, and blue-collar employees, which adds to its unique charm. Austin caters to all types and ages of people; whether you’re playing tourist in your own city or a vacationer who wants to see the best the city has to offer, there’s something here for you.
Being the fast-paced city that it is, along with its different nooks, hidden gems, and subcultures, it can be challenging to figure out your plans while in Austin. For those not sure how to dive in, the best place to start would be the Austin Visitor Center. Located in downtown Austin, the Visitor Center has friendly volunteers who can give you insider knowledge on activities, shops, restaurants, music venues, and other information you need to know. The Visitor Center also offers guided tours and is home to the city’s official gift shop, which is a great place to do some souvenir shopping. I highly recommend this service for those who need to store their bags for a few hours. I chose this service because I could see that they responded to customer feedback. I had a technical difficulty booking my reservation, but reached out via in app text and someone was able to help me get my reservation. The bag drop off was at a retail location in Austin that was conveniently located down the street from my AirBNB. I brought in my bag, showed my reservation, the employee gave me a tamper proof seal with a number that I put on my bag. I took a picture and the employee stored my bag away in the back. When I returned, I showed the employee the picture of my tag and he went and got my bag and gave me a scissors to cut off the tamper proof tag. Easy. I felt that my belongings were safe and appreciated that I could wander and enjoy the city for a few more hours.
First time trying this service. Very easy and convenient. Confident I could leave my luggage at the Sheraton whilst exploring Austin before my flight.
So easy! Loved having no bag on a hot Austin,Texas day. Easily the best $5 I spent all trip
