The Cancun International Airport, also simply known as the Cancun Airport is the second busiest airport in Mexico and the fourth busiest in all of Latin America. Located on the Yucatan Peninsula, the Cancun Airport sees millions of people pass through its gates each year. With the completion of many large resorts in and around Cancun, Cancun Airport expects an increase in visitors passing through each year. The airport is located about 13 miles outside of Cancun.

Because of the addition of these large resorts, the city of Cancun has grown exponentially, forcing the airport to also expand and grow to accommodate so many tourists. Now, several major international airlines come into the Cancun Airport, making Cancun easily accessible from almost every major city worldwide. The airport consists of two buildings called the MAIN terminal and the FBO terminal. The MAIN terminal is used mostly for commercial flights, both domestic and international. The FBO terminal is mostly used for chartered flights and private planes. Inside the airport, travelers can enjoy upscale restaurants or casual dining at some of the trendy cafes. You cannot simply stroll through the museum enjoying the sculptures; instead, you can experience it in two different ways. You can dive underwater for an up-close-and-personal view, or if you are not keen on diving, you can enjoy a glass-bottom boat ride and glide over the tops of these sculptures. Do not worry if you are not an experienced diver, the staff will give you a quick lesson, and staff members make the dive with you for safety.
