About Liverpool ONE

The area where Liverpool ONE now stands was once a park, and also contained the world’s first wet dock, which dated back to 1709. However, the area was heavily damaged by bombing during World War II, and struggled to find its feet in the postwar years. That all changed in 2004, when construction started on Liverpool ONE.

Now, the shopping center covers 42 acres and is the largest open-air shopping center in the UK. As well as dozens of stores, it also contains a movie theater and a mini golf course. The center is divided into six districts, one of which is  maintained as a public park. 

Often, major shopping centers like Liverpool ONE can have a destructive effect on town centers. That’s why this one was built right in the heart of Liverpool, between the city center and the docks. In that way, Liverpool One has revitalized the entire city. • Liverpool ONE has its own bus station, which is served by many of Liverpool’s bus routes, including 4, 6, 7, 18, 26, and many more.
• Liverpool Central Station is only 200 meters from Liverpool ONE. From here, you can connect to train services throughout the UK.
• Pier Head ferry terminal is just a short walk from Liverpool ONE and connects the city to Belfast across the Irish Sea.
