Today, Santorini Port is located right by the capital of Fira and is a key landing spot for cruise ships and travelers from other islands around Greece. The old port area, called Skala Port, is a separate, but connected space away from the larger, more modern port area.

Perissa Beach
This famous black sand beach is one of the most well-known beaches on this beautiful island. The black sand is the result of the volcanic processes that created the island and it makes for a truly stunning backdrop to the clear water that is teeming with tropical fish. Come here to rest and relax and get some sun, or rent some gear and snorkel for a couple of hours. Perissa Beach is a fantastic location to take advantage of the last few hours of sun before heading to Oia to watch the sunset.
