About Myeongdong

Myeongdong is located in Seoul, South Korea’s Jung district (referred to as Jung-gu in Korean). Records show that Myeongdong has existed in some form or another since the 1300s. During that time, Myeongdong was known as Myeongryebang and was a residential neighborhood in the Joseon Dynasty. Japan would later occupy the area and rename it Meijicho until South Korean gained its independence in 1946 and renamed the area Myeongdong.

These days, Myeongdong has become an incredibly popular shopping district. Millions of visitors from around the world pour into Myeongdong each and every year. Because of this trend, Myeongdong has also become one of the expensive shopping centers on earth.

At night, visitors take part in events like parades, the Cheonan World Dance Festival, and the bi-annual Myeongdong Festival. Luggage Storage Near Myeongdong

South Korea has become an increasingly popular tourist destination in recent years, especially Seoul. Much of this renewed interest in South Korea’s capital city can be linked to certain cultural trends. And by ‘certain cultural trends,’ we mean the rampant popularity of K-Pop bands like BTS. These influential artists have millions upon millions of fans around the world. Naturally, those fans travel to South Korea every chance they get. South Korea is also a major hub for the esports gaming scene. Some of the best professional players in the world like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok hail from Seoul. Suffice it to say that South Korea can get pretty packed. It can be difficult to get around while toting around pounds upon pounds of luggage. However, it’s almost impossible to get around in a densely packed place like Myeongdong. That’s where Bounce comes in.

Luggage Storage Near Myeongdong Cathedral

For those who aren’t aware, South Korea has a very large Christian population. That’s one of the reasons why places like the Myeongdong Cathedral are so pivotal to South Korean culture. Construction first began on this cathedral in 1892 and finished in 1898. Since then, the Myeongdong Cathedral has served as a religious and community center for the citizens of the Jung District.

Visitors are encouraged to participate in Mass as well as a slew of other community outreach activities. Be sure to check out this unique destination. Unfortunately, the Myeongdong Cathedral doesn’t have much space to accommodate excessive amounts of luggage. We recommend that visitors use Bounce to store their things before visiting.

Luggage Storage Near Namsan Seoul Tower

The Namsan Seoul Tower (also known as the YTN Seoul Tower or the N Seoul Tower) is a radio tower and landmark built in the 1970s. By 1975, an observation deck, museum, and gift shop were incorporated into the tower as well as several restaurants. Since then, the tower has become a must-see spot for those in the neighborhood. By far, the N Tower’s observation deck is the best place to go for a bird’s eye view of Seoul – especially at night.

This one of a kind venue is known for the incredible views, whether you climb to the top or not. Naturally, the Namsan Seoul Tower isn’t able to accommodate all of its visitors’ luggage. Anyone who wishes to visit this beloved South Korean landmark should Bounce their bags and non-essentials away ahead of time.

Luggage Storage Near Bongeunsa

Visitors of all faiths and all walks of life are welcome and encouraged to visit this inspiring piece of South Korean culture. It is a place you will want to fit into your itinerary, no matter how full it is. Travelers with lots of luggage will want to use Bounce to store their things, as Bongeunsa won’t be able to accommodate excessive amounts of baggage.
