About Zakopane

Perched on the southern edge of Poland, high in the Tatra mountains, is the town of Zakopane. Dubbed the "winter capital of Poland," Zakopane is a popular resort, with nearby mountains like Gubałówka offering excellent opportunities for hiking, skiing, and other winter sports. The town is over 700 feet above sea level and can be easily reached via bus or train from Krakow.

Zakopane dates back to the late 17th century when it was just a tiny village. It grew slowly over time, especially with its popularity booming during the 19th century due to nearby mining operations. After roads, trains and winter sports amenities were added to Zakopane, the town quickly became a prominent vacation destination and was fairly popular by the early 20th century. Today, Zakopane is among the most popular skiing destinations in Poland and is ideal for vacationing in a winter wonderland.

Wheeling your luggage through this resort town isn’t a good idea. If you need a safe place to store your luggage in Zakopane, Bounce has got you covered. Leave your non-essential bags and backpacks in one of our secure luggage locations in the city. Then, you can focus more on your destination and not your things.

For a small fee, our friendly staff will be happy to watch over your things. Our prices are often better than most luggage lockers, simply because you won’t have to pay more to leave bigger bags with us.
