The Circuit Ricardo Tormo, also known as the Circuit de Valencia, was built in 1999. Its official name is the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana. For those wondering, Ricardo Tormo—after whom the circuit got its popular name—was a Spanish motorcycling legend and a two-time world champion.

MotoGP has taken place at this venue since the World Championship was held on this track in 1999. The circuit has a capacity to welcome 165,000 people.
