Frequently
asked questions

  • How much does luggage storage cost in Llandudno?

We charge from £4.50 per day (24 hours) for luggage storage in Llandudno.

  • Does Llandudno have luggage lockers?

Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Llandudno.

  • How does Bounce luggage storage work?

We partner with local businesses around the world who have secure spaces to store luggage for travelers. Just tell us how many bags you have and when you need storage, and we'll show you convenient places you can keep your stuff safe while you explore.

Booking online is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes. To keep our partners and your stuff safe, we'll show you the address of the store once you book online. When you're ready, head to the store and show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation so they can take your bags and securely store them right away. Then you can enjoy your day without having to worry about your bags!

To pick up your bags, show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation and they'll hand over your stuff. That's it!
  • Where is my luggage stored?

We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.

  • What can I store with Bounce?

Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered.

We don't charge extra for oversized items, but some special items might need to be approved before you can store them. For example, surfboards, guitars, car seats, bicycles, or skis take up a lot of space, so let us know if you have them. We can check with the Bounce Partner for you to make sure they have room for your stuff.
  • Is there hourly luggage storage in Llandudno?

Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Llandudno.

  • How long can I leave my luggage with Bounce?

Whether you need storage for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we've got you covered! Just put in the dates and times you need luggage storage and we'll show you all of the available locations on our map. For long-term storage lasting more than a week, reach out to us and we'll help you find a convenient location.

If you're already storing your stuff but you need more time, you can add more time from your booking details page. Just make sure the store will be open and you can get your bags before your new pickup time.
  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

Plans change, we get it! If you need to change or cancel your booking for any reason, the best way to do it is from your booking details page in the Bounce app. You can edit the dates, drop-off and pick-up times, and number of bags. You can also cancel your booking or rebook at a nearby store. If you can't find your booking details, check the email address you used to make your booking. You can change your booking by following the link there, or reach out to us if you need support.

Store your luggage around Llandudno with Bounce

Known as the “Queen of Welsh Resorts,” Llandudno is one of the most popular coastal towns in Wales. Situated on a small peninsula along the craggy Welsh coastline, this former fishing village has become a premier destination in the UK for spending time on the water. Llandudno and other Welsh cities experience an influx of tourists from nearby Liverpool and Manchester, and the high season will find the town full to the brim with vacationers from around the UK and abroad.

The historic city center is capped by its sweeping crescent-shaped promenade, which runs parallel to perfectly sandy beaches where tourists and locals catch a bit of (rare) sun and take a dip in the Irish Sea. It’s not a terribly different scene from other beach towns in the UK, but where Llandudno sets itself apart is the unique Welsh charm and fascinating history that surrounds it.

There is well-preserved Victorian architecture everywhere, from the shops along Mostyn Street to the opulent Llandudno Pier, which was built over a century ago. From museums to traditional British pubs to some solid shopping, there’s plenty to do in town. Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Llandudno:

Luggage storage in Llandudno

Llandudno’s city center is a maze of cobbled streets and narrow alleyways, so you'll really want to find a reliable place to store luggage while you explore Llandudno for a few hours. There aren’t lockers at Llandudno railway station, and the city doesn’t have a prominent left luggage service, so the best luggage storage Llandudno has to offer is available through Bounce.

We have secure facilities throughout the city, and they’re usually only a short walk from the best attractions of transportation hubs. With premium features like 24/7 support from a friendly team and an easy-to-use mobile app, Bounce is as convenient as it gets for finding and booking luggage storage. There’s also a focus on quality of service; we vet each storage facility before partnering with them, and there’s a BounceShield guarantee.

Llandudno city guide

Top things to do in Llandudno

For most travelers, the first thing on the itinerary will be hitting the Llandudno Promenade and Pier. For those who really can’t wait to get into a bathing suit and into the water, the Promenade and North Shore Beach are only a few minutes on foot from Llandudno Train Station and have ample parking.

With so many trails and natural areas around Llandudno, you might have a hard time getting outdoor enthusiasts into the city. Snowdonia National Park is located just outside of Llandudno and is a bucket-list destination for hiking and trekking. Great Orme also overlooks the city, which are prehistoric mines from centuries ago. You can tour the mines, but the scenery around them is equally captivating.

Hitting the town is absolutely part of the appeal for visiting Llandudno. Mostyn Street and other hotspots are lined with boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and pubs. The food scene is superb, with a wide range of seafood spots serving everything from inventive fine-dining creations to standard fish and chips.

Museums in Llandudno

Great Orme Bronze Age Mines

One of Llandudno’s must-hit landmarks, this prehistoric mine is the largest in the world. 4,000 years ago, Welsh locals used primitive tools to dig tunnels and mine the hills surrounding Llandudno for copper, which is the primary reason that the settlement turned into a city. One can make a credible argument that these mines are the entire reason for the city’s existence. You can take a self-guided tour of the mines for a fascinating insight into Wales during the Bronze Age, the laborers who toiled through these tunnels, and Llandudno’s history as a whole.

Conwy Castle

Located just south of Llandudno’s city center, the neighboring town of Conwy is home to one of the most famous castles in Wales. Conwy Castle is a medieval fortress raised by King Edward I after his conquest of Wales in the 13th century. It’s in remarkable condition, given its windswept perch by the sea, and it’s been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s an imposing structure with massive curtain walls you can scale for epic views of the coast and town. You can take guided tours of the interior and grounds for more information about the English occupation of Wales and the castle’s history.

St. Tudno Church

Located in a craggy outcrop near Great Orme, Llandudno’s most beloved church overlooks the sea and provides a gorgeous setting for a contemplative moment during your travels. It’s an ancient and modest church that feels more remote than it really is. The church grounds are beautiful to walk through, and you’ll enjoy the views of the sea. If you’re so inclined, they hold outdoor mass on Sundays for a hauntingly beautiful experience.

The typical landmark or museum in Wales won’t have a bag policy, but it’s equally unlikely to offer a left luggage facility. Finding a place to store the bags while you visit a museum or sightsee is imperative for your enjoyment. That’s why Bounce places its locations near travel hotspots like Llandudno’s city center or Great Orne.

Shopping in Llandudno

Mostyn Street

While Llandudno isn’t the biggest town you’ll ever visit, there’s a surprisingly excellent shopping scene here. The center of it is Mostyn Street, or the “high street,” that runs through the heart of the city center. It’s the most prominent stretch of retail in Llandudno and where you’ll find the best boutiques and designer stores. It’s parallel to the promenade and waterfront, so you’ll likely walk down Mostyn more than once during your visit. There’s an upper and lower Mostyn, but they’re not particularly different and are connected by a roundabout.

The Victorian Pier

Llandudno’s waterfront is lined with piers, but scanning it from the promenade, only one will stand out. The Victorian Pier is not only the longest of the bunch, but it’s also the most historic, having been constructed back in 1878 for ships sailing to the Isle of Man. Now, the pier is lined with ice cream parlors, gift shops, and vendors of every sort. You’re not going to find a Chanel boutique on this pier, but if you want to buy a souvenir or keepsake, there’s no better place in town than the Victoria Pier. It’s also extremely kid-friendly. In fact, you’ll have a hard time convincing them to leave.

Victoria Shopping Centre Llandudno

This shopping center is not only the most prominent in Llandudno but also in the entire region of North Wales. It’s a one-stop shop destination for everything you’ll need. American travelers might not recognize every brand name and retailer on offer, but all the national players in the UK have a presence at Victoria Shopping Centre. It won’t offer the bespoke boutique experience that some might want, but its 350+ retailers are extremely useful in a pinch. It’s situated right in the city center and very accessible from the rest of Llandudno, so it’s more than worth checking out. There’s a movie theater and other entertainment offerings, so you know what to do on a rainy day…

These shopping destinations are located near Llandudno’s other attractions, so you can seamlessly fit a shopping spree into a day of sightseeing. This makes baggage more cumbersome, so you’ll want to stop by a Bounce luggage storage facility to lighten the load for your well-deserved bit of retail therapy.

Restaurants in Llandudno

Fish Tram Chips

Historically, British food has been much-maligned for its bland flavors and unappealing presentation. The only dish that was impervious to such criticism has been fish and chips. This quintessential British snack is beloved throughout the UK, and North Wales is no different. Fish Tram Chips is a local favorite for its perfectly flaky Atlantic cod doused in the right amount of vinegar, and ultra-crispy fries served at dirt-cheap prices in a comfortable, no-frills space. It's a great value, and there simply isn't a way to enjoy Llandudno without getting proper fish and chips.

Cottage Loaf

If your shopping spree on Mostyn Street has you feeling peckish and in need of fuel, stop at this upscale pub for some surprising flavors and familiar favorites. Its decor and approachable atmosphere are as traditional as a British pub will get, but the menu has a serious international flair to it. In the same meal, you can choose between traditional British meat, pies, or glazed Chinese pork belly. Of course, authentic English and Welsh beers are on draft and served properly. The outdoor gardens make for a nice lunch with wonderful patio seating, especially when the weather cooperates.

Seahorse

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that there is a world-class seafood restaurant in a coastal city like Llandudno, but this fine-dining spot is one of the most inventive places to grab a bite in Wales. You’ll find unexpected flavors and techniques applied to their hyper-fresh catches, like spicy Thai crab cakes or Menai mussels in a white wine broth. You’ll even have some Mediterranean options to consider, all paired with an amazing wine menu in a comfortable setting.

Whether it’s a fish and chips stand or a fine dining establishment, you shouldn’t lug your bags to dinner. Stop by a Bounce luggage storage facility before heading out for the night.

Conclusion

There are plenty of superb travel destinations near Llandudno that are well worth visiting. That’s why Bounce has made useful travel guides for places like Cardiff, Chester, and Liverpool. Even better, Bounce offers reliable luggage storage service in each of these cities. So you know that wherever your adventure through Wales leads you, you can always rely on Bounce.
