Museo Nacional del Prado

The Spanish Royal Family did not share this collection for many years and managed to accrue many excellent examples of different painting styles from all around Spain and across Europe.

Royal Palace of Madrid
The Royal Palace of Madrid is about a twenty-minute car ride from the station. This truly gorgeous building has 2,000 rooms, most of them gilded and immaculately set up to be viewed by tourists. If you are able to take a tour of the interior of the palace, you really must do so. The Royal Armories are included in your tour price as well, which is a nice perk. If you cannot access the palace during your visit, you will still be able to take pictures of this beautiful building, which is quite striking even from the outside.
Airport travel from Nuevos Ministerios
You can get to the airport from Nuevos Ministerios on Line 8. The ride will take you 21 minutes and cost between $1 and $3. You can also ride the C1 train for 23 minutes at a cost of $3-$8. This train station can also transport you to locations like the Madrid Barajas Airport if you are looking to fly from that airport instead. This museum is near the Paseo de la Castellana. You can get here on foot after a 13-minute walk. You can also ride the bus to get here. It takes 10 minutes on the Line 27 bus.
Santiago Bernabéu Stadium
This large football stadium is a 12-minute walk from the station. You can also get there in less than five minutes with the help of a cab or a rideshare. Taxis are between $11-$14 for the ride to the stadium. The walk is not challenging, but if you have anyone in your party who needs a little help navigating, this is a good option.
Buen Retiro Park
This park originally belonged to the Spanish monarchy but is now open to the public. You can spend an hour on foot getting here or rent a car or rideshare to be taken to this beautiful outdoor location. The oldest tree in Madrid is planted here, and there are miles of places to walk and enjoy the thousands of trees. The buses in the Madrid city centre run at regular intervals and cost $1.50 for a one-way ticket. You can also get a 10-ride pass for $6.10 or $9.10, depending on which lines you need access to.
