The Melbourne Central railway station, or simply Central Station, is one of five stations on the City Loop surrounding the Melbourne Central Business District (CBD). Part of the city’s suburban railway network, the underground station is located on the northern side of the CBD, beneath La Trobe Street and between the streets of Elizabeth and Swanston.
