In the middle of downtown Toronto between York and Bay, Union Station is the main transportation hub of Toronto and Hamilton. With almost 300,000 visitors per day, it is always a bustling and busy space with a lot to do and see. The station has about 706 thousand square feet of space with restaurants, retail stores, kiosks, taverns, and more. Although the station was originally built in 1858, it got a major overhaul and reopened in 1927.
Whether you are waiting for a train, bus, or just hanging out at the station, you can find over 100 eateries and shops to enjoy as well as a fresh market in the Union Food Court. The station also has quite a few unique local stores like the Peace Collective, which donates five school meals to local children in need for every purchase.
Near many large tourist attractions and points of interest, Toronto Union Station is the perfect starting point for exploring the city. There are several museums, about a dozen parks, and a plethora of shopping malls and stores. Whether you are looking for something to eat, something to do, or something to buy, you can find it all in and around Toronto Union Station.
Fun Fact: The station has 22 columns decorating the entrance on Front Street made from Bedford limestone that weigh 75 tons each.
Don’t just sit there. Get out and explore while you wait for your train or bus. While there is plenty to do just inside the station, you can also get outside and visit some of the nearby attractions. Here are some of our suggestions.

Luggage Storage Near the Royal Ontario Museum
On Queens Park, about 12 minutes from Toronto Union Station, learn more about Ontario at the Royal Ontario Museum. There are some must-see items at the museum. For example, you cannot miss the 20-million-year-old Martian Meteorite from Africa. And the 2,000-year-old Striding Lion from the throne of King Nebuchadnezzar II. The white rhino exhibit on the second floor is a great place to get a selfie. And you can see the armor of William Herbert, who was the first Earl of Pembroke. There is even a dinosaur. The Forgotten Barosaurus is a 90-foot skeleton that was found in the basement of the museum. Found in 1931 by the first director of the museum, an ancient artifact of a female bull leaper is also on display. It is made of ivory and stone and dates back to 1600 BC. Leave your bags with one of our Bounce partners and head to the museum.

We were able to drop off with no problem. We were a little unsure since we were asked to leave at one of the store isles but had no issues when collecting in Toronto. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful. I booked and paid on line but it seemed we could pay on the spot if needed to. I totally recommend
The price was slightly more than I expected but it was very easy to go in and drop off our bags and come back and pick them up in Toronto. The staff was friendly and helped us right away and had our bags handy by the entrance. Very quick and easy which is a big plus. Would definitely do it again.
Check in and check out was easy. My bag was stored behind the counter and not in a locked area, but I assume with supervision since there was the concierge there. Easy location to spot and travel to, and the place is clean in Toronto. I recommend and will use again when I need to be in the area.
