Transit options in Utrecht

Unlike Amsterdam, where travelers and locals like to go on bikes, Utrecht is easier to explore on foot. But if you need to get somewhere fast, here are your transit options in the city:

Train

The Netherlands has an extremely well-developed rail network, and Utrecht station is just a short walk from the city's center. You can reach Utrecht via train from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris, Brussels, and many other European cities.

Utrecht's proximity to Amsterdam means it doesn't need an international airport. A direct rail connection leaves Amsterdam Schiphol airport for Utrecht every 15 minutes. You can expect to pay from €7 to €10 for a train ticket from Amsterdam Centraal to Utrecht Centraal.
