They have colorful and comfortable booths inside as well as a nice outdoor terrace.

Our recommendation:

Don't know what to order? Try the Grass-fed Burger or the Good Earth Kale Cobb salad. The Wild Caught Tuna Tostada or Edamame Dumplings are also recommended choices! Slutty Vegan ATL - Old Fourth Ward

What it's like:

One of the best places to find tasty plant based dishes is at the Slutty Vegan ATL restaurant in Atlanta. This hip and trendy restaurant will catch your eye before you even notice that you are there. It has a bright yellow exterior with catchphrases written in black writing encouraging you to eat healthily and to eat vegan, and that is exactly what you will do here! The interior follows a similar theme and they also sell street fashionwear.

Our recommendation:

This now-popular Atlanta restaurant first started as an Instagram business but after gaining traction it was turned into a food truck. Now they have their own official restaurant and the owner sometimes makes appearances at the Ponce City Market too! On the menu are meals with slightly provocative names that will definitely catch your attention.

Try the One Night Stand burger, or maybe the Fussy Hussy burger on a vegan Hawaiian bun. Get some fries on the side and a Designated Driver strawberry lemonade to wash it down. The Sloppy Toppy is another of their vegan burgers made with vegan cheese, jalapenos, and caramelized onions.

Location:

The official location for Slutty Vegan ATL is 476 Edgewood Ave SE.

Take your pick of some great meals from the Caribbean, Asia, the American Southwest, and Mediterranean origins. They even have a few gluten free, soy free, and nut free options! For example, the Supreme Nachos are nut and gluten free made with vegan cheese, organic corn chips, romaine lettuce, jalapeno, guacamole, tomatoes and a house-made chili. Their Spring Rolls, Orzo Eggplant Lasagna, and Crispy Shrimp Tacos are also great for lunch!

Location:

The entire menu is terrific so stop by Cafe Sunflower Buckhead for lunch or dinner, or even for brunch on Saturdays. You can find them at 2140 Peachtree Rd NW.

The restaurant is simple but the food that they make is completely the opposite; get ready to see perfectly made cupcakes, sweet vegan cakes, and comforting lattes.

Our recommendation:

Treat yourself to an Espresso, Macchiato, or Mocha coffee made with your choice of soy, almond, coconut, hemp or oat milk. To eat you can choose from a Granola with Fruit or The Kirkwood Breakfast Sandwich if you are visiting in the morning, or order one of their lunch choices for later in the day. Why not order their Jerusalem Rice Dish served with brown rice, stir-fried vegetables and a yummy ginger sauce? They also serve platters, sandwiches, soups and salads as well as "a la carte" entrées. If you are having trouble picking and have the appetite for it why don't you go for the Divine Dinner? This includes a fresh garden salad, an entrée of your choice, two sides, and cornbread.

They do have a waiting area with fake grass and a unique graffiti wall so you can sit there while they make your fresh pizza.

Our recommendation:

Although the food here is plant based it can be enjoyed by both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They have a Vegan Meat Lovers Pizza which is made with vegan sausage, roasted basil pizza sauce, ground beyond beef, vegan pepperoni and vegan mozzarella cheese on a spelt crust. Other options include the Philly Pizza, Hawaiian Pizza, or a Vegan Deluxe Pizza! Flatbreads, chili cheese fries, pasta, sandwiches, and calzones are also on the menu. Next up is the Grass VBQ Joint in the West End of Atlanta. This vegan restaurant takes after most other BBQ restaurants but they offer vegan options instead. The restaurant, although small, has a nice seating area so you can start munching away immediately, and trust us, it will be hard to wait once you see the food!

Our recommendation:

Are you craving some Smoked Jerk Wings? If you would rather, they serve a delicious sandwich with smoked pulled jackfruit as opposed to meat. You will want to order a dessert as well and all of their choices are superb. Vegan Cupcakes and Miniature Sweet Potato Pies are what you will have to choose from. It is hard to decide so you might end up getting both!

Location:

This place is situated at 777 Oak St SW.

Hippie Hibachi - Underwood Hills

What it's like:

Moving on we have Hippie Hibachi, a fantastic Japanese styled vegan restaurant. The sign outside says Chattahoochee Food Works and you will find Hippie Hibachi inside along with other restaurants in the strip mall. The space is very big so there will be lots of room to invite friends. If the weather is nice we suggest eating in the beautiful outdoor area next to a wall mural painted with butterflies. The inside of the building itself is contemporary and clean with some nice marble counters, exposed bricks, and high ceilings.

Our recommendation:

Aside from being completely vegan this restaurant also offers gluten free options. Make your own hibachi noodle dishes by choosing a protein like zucchini noodles, carrots, onions or broccoli served with fried rice and a yum yum sauce drizzle. There are also hippie plates where you can choose one teriyaki or two proteins. Options include eggplant, tofu cutlets, mushroom, impossible meat, shrimp made from konjac root, and chicken made from soy.

This vegetarian restaurant is clean with bare walls and lots of seating spaces. Although the interior of the restaurant might not grab your attention the food definitely will!

Our recommendation:

Their vegetarian menu is full of all of your basic brunch dishes but better. Try the Black Bean Energy Bowl which will wake you up and get you ready for the rest of the day, or a yummy Veggie Omelet. The Impossible Skillet is another good choice, and we haven't even gotten started on their seafood menu yet. If you are a pescatarian, you will want to try the Gulf Shrimp Skillet, a Smoked Salmon BLT, or maybe the Fish & Jalapeno Grits. Of course, fresh juices and coffees are on the menu as well.
