Camden Yards visitor guide

Oriole Park at Camden Yards is commonly known as Camden Yards. This stadium is the home of the Baltimore Orioles, and it was built to replace Memorial Stadium in 1992. The stadium location is right downtown and offers visitors access to lots of other amenities beyond the ballpark itself. But a trip to see the Orioles play is always a good time by itself.

If you have purchased tickets to a game at Camden Yards, you will need to let us take care of your bags and personal items that are not allowed into the stadium with you on game day. Bounce offers excellent Camden Yards luggage storage at great prices. You can also choose to store your bags at some of our other locations around the city, like Penn Station.

Camden Yards bag policy

Camden Yards bag policy

When you visit an arena location or sports stadium, it is a good idea to know about the bag policy before you try to access the venue. There was a recent update to the Camden Yards bag policy, which has now gone into effect. You will need to be sure that all of your bags that come with you to the entrance gate are clear plastic and no bigger than 12” x 6” X 12”. Clear plastic freezer bags can also be used.

All bags are subject to search, and you will need to indicate if you have medical items or childcare items in bags that do not meet the bag requirements. There are lockers for fans to use at the stadium, but it is usually far more affordable to store prohibited items with Bounce before attempting to access the park.

Camden Yards food policy

While it can be tempting to try and bring your own food and drinks to the game, you need to be sure that you follow the Camden Yards food policy. Per the Camden Yards outside food policy, you can bring in non-alcoholic beverages, but they must all fit into a single, approved bag. You can also bring in small amounts of personal food, but these items must also fit into the bag you bring with you to the game.

Camden Yards offers a wide array of concessions, and some tickets allow ordering for food and drink right from your seat. The 410 menu offers snack items, all at a flat rate of $4.10. You can also use the MLB Ballpark app to search for food offerings and things like allergy-friendly menus within the stadium.

How to get to Camden Yards

Camden Yards transportation

Knowing how to get to Camden Yards is key for your game day experience to go smoothly. Game day parking is offered at Oriole Park in lots F, G, and H. All parking is opened up two hours before the first pitch. The stadium suggests that you buy parking tickets in advance as the lots fill up fast.

There are over 30,000 off-site spaces to park in around the Oriole Park area in parking garages and lots in the downtown area. The stadium also has reserved accessibility parking in lots A and B. These are first-come, first-served. Drop-off areas for cars and buses are offered at the east side of the Warehouse near Gate A, at Home Plate Plaza off Russell Street, and at the north end of the service road next to Gate F.

Local buses and light rail, as well as the Metro Subway, can also bring you right to the area of the stadium. These options require tickets that should be purchased in advance for convenience on the day of your game. Rideshare can drop you off at the drop-off areas listed above or in the downtown area, and you can walk to the game.

Camden Yards camera policy

The Camden Yards camera policy states that you can bring in cameras and video equipment, but these must be for personal use only. No lenses longer than seven inches will be allowed inside the park. Game footage cannot be filmed per MLB rules and regulations. Monopods and tripods are also not permitted inside the park.

The Baltimore Orioles reserve the right to remove guests who refuse to cease filming or engage in camera-related activity that is not allowed. If videoing and camera activities are impeding the enjoyment of the game for other guests, the park also reserves the right to remove the offender without compensation for the price of their ticket.

Camden Yards rules

Camden Yards policies must be followed by all guests at all times during an event. There is no exception to the clear bag policy for this venue. You will have to submit to metal detectors and security checks at each entrance gate on game day. Keys, mobile phones, cameras, computers, and other large metal objects will be inspected and might be forbidden.

No re-entry is permitted to the game. If you leave the stadium, you will not be allowed back inside. The Orioles welcome signs and banners, but these signs and banners cannot be so big that other guests can’t see the game. All banners and signs can be removed at any time by park staff.

The gates at Camden Yards will be opened up an hour before the first pitch. There are no exceptions to this rule unless specific arrangements or ticket offerings make this possible in specific situations.

Conclusion

Baltimore is an amazing city to visit if you love history, art, and culture. You can enjoy fine dining, access to museums and historical buildings, and lots of fun activities that are not possible in smaller areas or cities around the country. If you love to watch sports, you are in luck because baseball is hugely popular here.

Visiting the historic and very impressive Camden Yards is a great activity to enjoy during any trip to Baltimore. Make sure that you let us take care of your bags so that you can have the peace of mind that you need to make the most of your game day experience.
