Dublin is the largest city in Ireland and houses over a million people. You will know why so many people have made it their home when you see historic buildings and places such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Dublin Castle. The city was founded in the 7th century by the Gaels and was then occupied by the Vikings. Today, Dublin is packed full of ancient structures, museums, and memorials to tell its story. They also have a rich nightlife, with more than half of the citizens being younger than 25. Music, bars, and lounges can be found on almost every street in the city between the shops, restaurants, and other points of interest.
While you wait for your flight to arrive or before heading into the city, you can stay at Dublin Airport because they have a lot to keep you busy. The airport boasts over 32 million passengers per year, and it prides itself on making sure their guests are comfortable and happy. In fact, it was voted as one of the Top 10 Best Airports in the World on eDreams. Terminal 1 has several food and retail shops as well as a lounge where you can relax, get free drinks, and even take a shower. Terminal 2 is mainly for long-haul carriers but also has a lounge where you can relax, have some drinks and food, as well as shower. Spend some time exploring the sites here and then make your way to bustling Dublin.
If you have a long layover in Dublin Airport or want to take a break before starting your Dublin holiday, there is plenty to see. You can find all sorts of things to do both inside and outside of the airport. Here are some fun things Bounce suggests to keep you busy:
Stop in at one of the lounges in the airport and have a drink for free, relax in one of the comfy chairs, read a paper, or watch television.
Visit the home of Guiness, and take a self-guided tour.
Dine on some fabulous Irish food at Wrights of Howth. They have several locations at the airport, including the Loop, Arrivals Area, the Car Park Atrium, and Gate 300.
Go to Grafton Street to see the buskers and do some window shopping.
For dessert, head over to the Chocolate Lounge in the Loop or one of the Butlers Chocolate Cafés.

This was my first time using this service and it worked seamlessly. I had no problems at all dropping my bag off at NYC Racquet Sports and it was just as easy picking it up. This location is a couple blocks from Penn Station, so it was perfect for exploring Manhattan for several hours before catching the train to Newark Airport for a late night flight. Will definitely use this service on future trips!
Really excellent service, right around the corner from A/C/E trains at Penn Station in New York. Popular and busy restaurant, too — but no one kept me waiting to drop off or pick up a bag.
This place is awesome, it’s near Macy’s and other souvenir shops, nearby food outlets too and near the Penn station in New York. This is the best place to leave your luggage for last minute shopping before you head to the airport via Penn station. Plus the Employees are very courteous and kind
