Florence airport, also known as Peretola, is an international airport to the northwest of the city of Florence. Although Florence is an extremely popular tourist destination, the airport is on the smaller side. It is not even the busiest airport in the region of Tuscany, being beaten in that regard by Pisa International Airport. • The airport is linked to the city by tram line T2. The journey takes around 20 minutes from the airport to the Piazza dell'Unita Italiana in the center of Florence.
