Causeway Bay is the New York Times Square of Hong Kong. Located on Hong Kong Island just off the coast of Hong Kong, the area includes East Point, Victoria Park, and the Hong Kong Central Library. It also contains dozens of eateries, shopping areas, and clubs. In fact, with so many shops, boutiques, and malls, you will have your hands full with all the awesome deals you find. Browse from the 13-story Sogo Department Store to the 40-story Hysan Place. The neighborhood has its own version of Times Square with the same name, which was the first vertical mall in Hong Kong with nine stories of retail therapy to peruse.

The neighborhood even has a World Trade Center with a 15-story tower filled with over 100 boutiques, shops, restaurants, and cafés. But you can do much more than eat and shop in Causeway Bay. Being on the waterfront, there are many aquatic activities like boat tours, fishing, swimming, and just walking along the coastline. Cheer on horse racing events at Happy Valley Racecourse. Head to the same venue for tennis, rugby, soccer, basketball, and football games during the warmer months. Causeway Bay boasts several parks where you can hike, bike, and check out the local flora and fauna. 

Fun Fact: Every day at precisely 12 noon, the noonday gun (cannon) is fired, and eight bells are rung.

You can enjoy the bustling harbor on the Central-Wan Chai Bypass only 10 minutes from the bay. Known for its amazing night view and skyline, this is the perfect place for some selfies. Or climb to the top of Victoria Peak for a panoramic view with great photo ops. Peak Tower gives you an awesome view at about 1,300 feet, and they also have many shops to browse to get those unique souvenirs. The Clock Tower is another place with an amazing view of the city. You can also take a ferry to one of the other nearby islands. Walk along the Avenue of Stars where you can get some selfies with Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chow Yun-Fat and other famous statues. Located on Salisbury Road just 14 minutes from Causeway Bay, you’ll find the Hong Kong Space Museum with over 86,000 square feet in two different wings. In the east wing, explore workshops, the Omnimax projector room, Hall of the Cosmos, and the Space Theater. The west wing has the Resource Center, Gift Shop, Lecture Hall, and the Hall of Space Exploration. The Space Theater is a dome with the Omnimax film projector and the planetarium, which was the first in the world to have a completely automatic control system. The two halls feature 100 permanent exhibits, with 70 being hands-on interactive activities. Find out how it feels to be weightless or disoriented in a virtual space station.
