An issue mentioned by some people was having to wait by the gate. Fortunately when I rang the bell people showed up swiftly. Both dropping and picking up my carry-on were pretty expeditious in Honolulu.
This worked well, but the storefront is a little off putting in that it’s unclear how the baggage system worked without speaking to someone in Honolulu. I guess I was expecting lockers or clear signage.
