About Circus Circus Las Vegas

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, at least that is how the old adage goes. Spend your next trip to Las Vegas at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino, also known just as Circus Circus. There is no possible way for you to ever feel boredom creeping up on you when you are at the Circus Circus with its spontaneous circus acts and carnival games, as well as its mega casino. Located on the Las Vegas Strip, Circus Circus is easily spotted with the Lucky the Clown marquee at the entrance. Lucky has been standing guard since 1976. Circus Circus has been in business since 1968 and is an iconic part of the famed Las Vegas Strip. The building itself draws enough attention and is a very popular place for photographs. The giant circus tent shaped structure is truly one-of-a-kind, especially with its family-friendly atmosphere. The entire Circus Circus complex includes the original casino and gaming halls, plus three hotel towers, five motels, and an RV park.

Circus Circus is now owned by Phil Ruffin, the owner of the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Plans to expand Circus Circus include a large theater and updating the original circus theater. Live circus performances are still held at Circus Circus for guests to enjoy. A children’s gaming hall is also open, where kids can enjoy arcade-style games while their parents head to the casino for a bit of fun.

Fun Fact: The Circus Circus big top is the largest permanent big top in the entire world. Lucky the Clown is also the oldest resident clown at Circus Circus and was designed by the Young Electric Sign Company.
