What's it like:

For one of the best rooftop bars in the city, you should head to Terrazza Delle Nazioni. This bar doesn't only offer great food and drinks but also some of the nicest views in all of Bari! Come enjoy some great drinks while looking over the port and sea.

We doubt you'll be able to take your eyes off of the view but the interior of the bar is also pretty impressive. The chairs and tables are comfortable and set up to make the room as spacious as possible. The real treat is the swimming pool on the outdoor terrace.

This is a fantastic place to meet new people as well as hang out with old friends. Since this bar actually belongs to one of the very nice Bari hotels you can even stay here overnight, which means that you can sample as many drinks as you want. Don't forget to bring a bathing suit for the rooftop pool.

What's it like:

This place, also known as Modern Bar, is another fantastic place to go for drinks in Bari. Don't let the name fool you since they have been in the city for the past 53 years! Although they don't have a rooftop terrace they do have a beautiful outdoor seating area so you can take advantage of any nice warm nights.

The bar staff is friendly and ready to help bring you the best experience possible. They are open every day, except Wednesdays, from 5 am to 11:30 pm so you can also join them for a coffee in the mornings instead of nighttime drinks!

Our recommendation:

When it comes to drinks Bar Moderno has several options for you to consider. Are you in the mood for cocktails? They have several flavors available from fruity to classic varieties. If that isn't your sort of thing then feel free to order wine instead. We recommend their signature drink, the Bar Moderno.

MezzoPieno Cafè Restaurant

What's it like:

As a cafe, restaurant and bar, MezzoPieno is the perfect spot for any of your eating and drinking needs. The cafe is small but more than makes up for it with its incredibly spacious outdoor seating area!

Oh, and did we mention that its a waterfront bar? Grab a couple of friends to sit outside and enjoy the seaside breeze. Aside from stunning views of the water and Porto Vecchia beach, you will also get to admire some nice scenes of the historic centre of the city.

The MezzoPieno Cafè Restaurant menu mainly follows a seafood theme but they sometimes offer other off-menu meals. Just ask the staff if there are any specialties or vegetarian meals being served that day. Of course, cocktails and drinks are available as well.

Cala Cerasa

What's it like:

The casual setting of Cala Cerasa is a highly recommended spot for anyone visiting the province of Bari. Other than a nice view, Cala Cerasa has some delicious food on the menu. We hope you like fish since this seaside spot has some great seafood meals! But that's not all that they can do, pasta and pinsa are on the menu as well. One thing that is important to note about this place is that they are only open on Sundays during the summer. Make sure to check them out if you are in the area between April and October.

La Biglietteria

What's it like:

The inside of La Biglietteria is light, beautiful and airy but, since they are situated on the waterfront, the outdoor terrace is where you will really want to be. Both locals and tourists enjoy coming here for the tasty food and the wonderful views making it a great place for a meal with friends or an intimate date.

You will definitely want to order some food off of the menu and they have a good drink menu as well. This restaurant opens at 7 am and doesn't close until 2 am so you can come by for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just evening drinks!

The food at La Biglietteria is delicious and diverse. Whether you want a full meal, a salad, appetizers or just snacks and desserts, they've got you covered! Specialty coffees and smoothies are available on the breakfast menu and when it comes to drinks you can take your pick from a selection of wines and cocktails. We recommend trying The Storm or Intrigue and Love for drinks!

L' Osteria del Borgo Antico

What's it like:

L' Osteria del Borgo Antico might not be directly on the water or have any rooftop pools but what it does have is a beautiful view from right inside the city of Bari. They serve traditional Italian cuisine and eating here is a great way to learn more about the food of this city!

The interior of the restaurant has a very charming and rustic feel to it whereas the outside offers lots of space and comfort. Not only is it one of the best hotels in the city, but the Roof Garden Di Charme is also one of Bari's nicest rooftop bars! This is one spot that you definitely won't want to miss out on visiting during your time in Italy.

If you can you should try to come here to watch the sunset. The aerial view of Bari's historic centre will be unforgettable! While you admire the birds-eye view you should treat yourself to some drinks and order a meal from their menu. They offer food from a couple of different cuisines so get outside of your comfort zone and try something new.

What's it like:

For a real authentic Italian experience, you should make your way to La Cecchina. What's it like:

There is no way that you can visit Italy without eating some of their traditional dishes like pizza and pasta! Piccinni 28 is a fantastic choice and, aside from a very well-kept indoor seating area, you will also have access to the tables and chairs in their beautiful garden. The inside of the building is also stylish, so don't worry if it is raining and you are stuck indoors!

Piccinni 28 serves all of Italy's best known foods so take your pick. Try ordering a delicious pizza or maybe some spaghetti! If you want seafood they have some great choices. Try the grilled swordfish with a nice glass of Italian wine.

As soon as you land at Bari Airport, find a place to eat, relax and plan your excursions.
