The capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, is one of Europe’s most fascinating cities. With its impressive historic architecture and beautiful harbor, Copenhagen draws visitors from around the world. It’s also the cultural capital of the country and the home of its most significant institutions, making it a great place to visit at any time of year.

Copenhagen Central Station is the city’s main railway station. Located in the heart of the city, the station has been in operation since 1911. Serving over 100,000 passengers each day, Copenhagen Central is the heart of the capital’s transit infrastructure and the busiest station in Denmark. Drop off your bags at a luggage storage near Copenhagen Central Station to navigate this bustling place.

Copenhagen Central Station bag policy

With the amount of passengers Copenhagen Central serves, you’ll see plenty of people lugging bags with them as they navigate the station. There is no limit imposed by the station on the amount or size of bags you can bring, but some train companies do limit passenger luggage, so make sure to check with your train provider to make sure you comply with the rules.

There is a luggage storage facility at Copenhagen Central station next to the Istedgade Street entrance. The self-serve luggage lockers get busy though, so you may find it more convenient to track down a luggage storage service near Copenhagen Central Station.

Copenhagen Central Station food policy

You are allowed to bring food and drink into Copenhagen Central, with no real restrictions on what you bring. However, if you decide to picnic in the station, be considerate and make sure you don’t litter. If you don’t feel like bringing your own food, the station has a large shopping center where you can get just about everything you might want to eat or drink. You’ll find a Starbucks, a McDonald’s, a 7-Eleven, a sushi outlet, and several bars. So whatever you’re looking for, you won’t go hungry in the station.

Copenhagen Central Station camera policy

You are allowed to take photos inside Copenhagen Central Station. However, make sure you’re not affecting other passengers when you do so. It’s not a good idea to set up a tripod in the middle of a busy passageway, for instance. Also, be aware that secure areas of the station are off-limits for photography. Don’t take photos of security staff or screening procedures.

If you have a lot of expensive camera equipment, you want to make sure it’s safe while you travel. Dropping off your gear at a suitcase storage near Copenhagen Central Station means you can travel with peace of mind and enjoy what the city has to offer.
