Located on Biscayne Blvd, this is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city. The Aventura and Hollywood Beach area is a really great place to visit if you want to enjoy some excellent shopping as well as the beach after your meal. You can head here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner or get a to-go order delivered to you if you wish.

This location offers a casual atmosphere and you will order at a counter when you walk in, then seat yourself to enjoy your meal. This is like an upscale fast food experience but the food is worth the slightly boring restaurant environment. Many people choose to order to-go and simply take their delicious food down to the beach to eat.

Our Recommendation:

We recommend the cauliflower pizza options as well as the coconut chia parfait and the avocado toast. This is also a really good place for smoothies and acai bowls that are filling and offered with many great toppings and ingredients included in them. All the sauces here are made from scratch every day and the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced whenever possible.

Planta

What It's Like:

This is the sister restaurant of Planta Queen Coconut Grove. They offer this same wide array of menu options here and you will enjoy a South Beach area dining experience here that can be classified as urban chic. The service is really good here but the prices are much higher than at some of the other vegetarian restaurants in the Miami area. South Beach is just more expensive overall, so you might already be prepared for these increased prices.

Our Recommendation:

We recommend the planta burger, which is the best veggie burger anywhere in the city. You should also try the lettuce wraps and the cauliflower tots. They also offer vegan pizza and gluten-free pizzas for those who also do not eat carbs. This is a classically Miami location that gives you access to that unique South Beach vibe.

Dining as a vegetarian in Miami

Under the Mango Tree

What It's Like:

Another South Beach location, this is a great place for yummy fusion meals and great flavors. This is a casual atmosphere location and you order from a counter before seating yourself. Pets are welcome in the outdoor seating area as well, so you might be able to pet a dog during your visit, that is if you have been missing your canine friend at home.

Our Recommendation:

This is one of the spots in Miami that has leaned into the healing movement as much as the vegan and vegetarian traditions and you will be able to get all of the vegetarian fare you might expect. Their acai bowls are excellent and we recommend that you try the spicy kale melt or one of their delicious fresh juices. You can also get delicious vegan coffee here.

This spot is a good choice for a quick bite and you can fuel up here with some really good caffeinated drink options. They technically only serve breakfast and early lunch, so don't make this spot your dinner plan while you are in South Beach.

This cute little eatery with the clever name has been operating in Miami since the 70s. You can eat indoors and outdoors at this little shop in the downtown Miami area and you will love the family dining and casual atmosphere. The Last Carrot is a family-run operation so you can count on friendly and kind service. This location is also open from 10 to 6 every day which makes it a really convenient option for a casual dining experience with great flavor from lunch until the early dinner hours.

Our Recommendation:

We recommend that you try the avocado pita or one of their smoothies. Their salads are also excellent and are essentially just large heaps of veggies served with vegan or vegetarian-friendly dressings. This is not an area that is as well-known for touristy things to do and see, so you will get a more authentic experience when you head here.
