Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA)
There are lots of great museums in this city to enjoy when it rains, and this is the best of the art galleries and collections to visit to see contemporary art. MOCA offers entry with a suggested donation, so you don't even have to plan to buy expensive tickets to see this collection. This site teaches about North Miami Beach's social and cultural history as well as contemporary art as a whole.
This is a unique location that offers work by local artists as well as permanent collection offerings that are always on display. This location offers different hours on different days. On Wednesday they are open from noon to 7 pm, Thursday Through Sunday from 10 to 5 pm and they are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Carnival Studio Theater

There is a full food court and so many stores that you probably won't even see a fraction of them while you are hiding from the rain. This mall is fun to visit even if you don't adore shopping due to all the really colorful murals that line the walls. This is a very unique building and it can be a great place to just get some exercise by walking even if you are not a passionate shopper.
The mall is open from 10 am to 9 pm on most days so you can easily spend a lot of time inside here if you have tough weather to deal with during your time in Miami.
This huge aquarium location is 38 acres in size which offers up a lot of indoor activities to enjoy on a rainy day. You might find that some of the daily shows are canceled when the weather is not ideal, but all the indoor activities are always open for viewing and participation. The Miami Seaquarium is one of the oldest aquariums in the US and its exhibits include information about the preservation and maintenance of threatened animal populations.
