Alex Box Stadium is a baseball venue located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The stadium, pronounced ‘Alec Box’, is home to the Louisiana State University Tigers and is affectionately called ‘The Box’ by locals. Opened in 2009, the stadium has a capacity of 10,326 and was named after LSU letterman, Simeon Alex Box. Box was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Distinguished Service Cross and died in World War II in North Africa. In 2013, the stadium’s name was expanded to Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field in tribute to a previous baseball coach and athletic director at LSU. The stadium draws crowds from the local area and around the country who come to watch the baseball or other events hosted at the venue.

Alex Box Stadium Bag policy

Restrictions on bags apply to all visitors entering Alex Box Stadium. Clear tote bags made from plastic, vinyl, or PVC are permitted within the grounds, as are small clutches or purses. Plastic zip-top bags are also allowed. If you are visiting with a baby or small child you may bring a diaper bag as long as it is not bigger than 12” x 6” x 12”. Binocular cases and seat cushions are also permitted.

All other bags, including briefcases, backpacks, opaque tote bags, and duffle bags, are not allowed within the stadium. Alex Box Stadium Food policy

Food can not be brought into Alex Box Stadium However there is a range of food options inside the venue. Alex Box Stadium Camera policy

Cameras carried by fans and the media are allowed within Alex Box Stadium. Photos taken during baseball games must only be for personal use or editorial purposes. Commercial photography is prohibited.

Alex Box Stadium rules

Secondly, smoking is strictly prohibited on the LSU Campus, including within Alex Box Stadium. Finally, there is free parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is also limited paid parking available. Take note that you must park in a designated parking area. Otherwise, you will face fines.
