Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, CA

The city of Oakland, located across the bay from San Francisco, has a proud sporting history. Although some of its former teams have since moved away from the city, Oakland still retains several major franchises. The Oakland Coliseum was the former home of the Oakland Raiders before they moved to Las Vegas, and remains the home of the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball team. As the eighth largest MLB stadium in the country, the Coliseum is a major landmark in the city.

The stadium is also easy to reach from all over the bay area. Connected to BART, the stadium is also close to Oakland International Airport. And it’s only a short train ride from everything San Francisco has to offer.

Hard coolers are not allowed, and nor are glass containers or cans. Oakland Coliseum food policy

There are no specific food restrictions in place at the Oakland Coliseum. You can bring food from home, but make sure it isn’t in a hard-sided cooler. Also, be aware that any food you bring is subject to search. It might be a good idea to keep anything you bring in clear plastic bags to make inspection easier.

If you don’t want to be bothered with that, the stadium itself has some good food options. BBQ Ribs and Things sells ribs, sandwiches, and other barbecue treats. Burrito District is the place to go for Mexican food. Chef Express can hook you up with classic ballpark hotdogs, and Shibe Park Tavern offers more of a bar feel. Drop off your bags at a suitcase storage near Oakland Coliseum and rest assured you won’t go hungry at the ballpark.

To make your visit easier, it might be a good idea to leave any camera equipment at a luggage locker near Oakland Coliseum.
