Orlando is becoming the up-and-coming scene for vegan restaurants and the Sanctum is one of the newer ones taking the area by storm. Their salads and pasta are delicious but their organic bowls are what keep people coming back for more. Enjoy a vegan craft beer or glass of wine with your meal.

Our recommendation:

Seasonal foods are used on the menu to create fresh and innovative vegan dishes. Farm fresh ingredients are used in their smoothies for flavorful creations that you'll find memorable. The Sanctum never uses hydrogenated oils, artificial flavorings, food dyes, or preservatives in any of its dishes.

Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine

What's it like:

Turkish cuisine and vegetarian meals do not usually go hand-in-hand, but Bosphorous has been making it work with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices on its menu. With four locations around Orlando, you can easily find one of their restaurants no matter where you are in the city.

Our recommendation:

Mediterranean ingredients and some of the freshest vegetables in the city as well as fresh Halal meats create exquisite dishes. There is a wide variety of fresh salads, made to order breads, dips, and pide or Turkish pizza. Vegetarians and vegans have a bountiful menu filled with unique and amazing options.

Dharma Southern Kitchen

What's it like:

What started out as vegan street food, Dharma Southern Kitchen has turned into a popular brick and mortar eatery in the Market on South food hall. Vegan takes on chipotle sloppy joes, bbq pulled jack fruit, baked mac n’ cheese, and other amazing dishes including cookies and sweet treats. Order the chocolate and rosewater ganache cake as the perfect ending to a rich, tasty meal.

Our recommendation:

We recommend making the time here into an event! Valhalla Bakery and Humble Bumble Kombucha are also in the Market on South. After you enjoy a wonderful meal, you can do a little shopping with local vendors selling organic coffee beans, soy candles, and so much more.

Dandelion Communi-Tea Café

What's it like:

Head to the famous Mills District and check out Dandelion Communi-Tea Café housed in a vibrant 1920s style house where all their dishes are created using locally sourced ingredients. Everything is also 100% vegan from their sandwiches and wraps to their soups and organic teas. You will find everything fresh and delicious using local produce.

Our recommendation:

The black bean quesadilla is made with black beans, corn, peppers, red onions, tomato, spices, cilantro, and vegan queso or organic dairy cheese. Something lighter is the raspberry parfait made with vegan yogurt, granola, and raspberry puree. The Machos Libre is a playful twist on traditional nachos using organic corn chips, homemade queso, chili, scallions, and fresh tomatoes.

Loving Hut

What's it like:

The Loving Hut is part of a chain of restaurants specializing in vegan food on its unique Asian-inspired menu. Vegan pho is one of their more popular dishes. But the Loving Hut is the only Orlando restaurant serving a full vegan buffet. You can still order off the menu if the buffet does not tempt you.

Our recommendation:

The Summer Rolls are made fresh using a jicama stir fry with tofu, carrot, and lettuce wrapped in rice paper, add the vegan shrimp and a side of peanut sauce. Their iconic Loving Hut Rolls are made using vegan ham, vegan shrimp, tofu, lettuce, cucumber, cilantro, basil, and rice noodle all wrapped in rice paper and served with peanut sauce.

Pom Pom’s Tea House

What's it like:

Pom Pom’s Tea House is a rather quirky café offering vegetarian dishes in a laid-back setting with friendly service. The café even showcases local artwork that is available for purchase. You can enjoy a yummy, casual meal and do a little art shopping at the same time! The creative dishes will make your mouth water.

Our recommendation:

The tomato soup is an imaginative twist on a classic and the perfect compliment to any of their funky and creative sandwiches. Order a side of potato salad, it is simply the best, and top the meal off with a brownie, sweet crepe, or cupcake.

The pina colada is one of their signature drinks, or maybe a glass of wine or a craft beer is more to your liking. Milk tea, ice tea, or coffee are also rather popular among patrons of Pom Pom’s Teahouse. Grab your friends and enjoy a relaxed meal in a trendy neighborhood, you will love their vegan and vegetarian options.

Black Bean Deli

What's it like:

Serving amazing vegetarian options for over 15 years, this Cuban café is the place to go when you are looking for vegetarian with a spicy twist. Tropical juices are usually paired with the dishes, and you can ask your server for recommendations to get the right flavor combinations. They even offer a veggie burger that can be made into a cheeseburger using vegan cheese.

Our recommendation:

The Vegetarian is made with yellow rice, sweet plantains, black beans, and green salad served with the house avocado vinaigrette. The Salad Bowl is made with lettuce, cucumber, carrot, tomato, onion, black beans, and avocado dressing. Add an order of Maduros or sweet plantains and an order of Cuban Tostado which is a Cuban bread pressed with butter.

Green Kitchen

What's it like:

This café offers the health conscious a flavorful menu filled with vegetarian dishes that have been inspired by Italian, French, and Brazilian cuisine. The Green Kitchen uses healthy, fresh ingredients such as amaranth, chia, quinoa, and flax seeds in their dishes, all of which are created daily in-house. The vegetarian and vegan options are truly wonderful.

Our recommendation:

There is also a vegetarian special of the day that is paired with a cold-pressed juice or fresh smoothie. You can ask your server about the daily special. Even if you do not order the special, you will want to take a closer look at their smoothie selection and juices, they are packed with nutrients and taste great.

Ethos Vegan Kitchen

What's it like:

Serving home-style fare in Winter Park, just outside downtown Orlando, Ethos Vegan Kitchen is a vegan restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The 100% vegan brunch menu is offered every Saturday and Sunday.

Our recommendation:

Most of their dishes are made completely from scratch and can be made to order. The vegan chicken sandwich and sweet potatoes are especially yummy. We suggest you kick back with friends and enjoy a beer or glass of wine while you wait for your food. You do not even have to be vegan or vegetarian to appreciate the greatness of Ethos Vegan Kitchen.

Infusion Tea

What's it like:

Infusion Tea is best known for its huge selection of organic teas and light, tasty vegetarian options. The teahouse is also home to The Arts Co-Op where artists from throughout Central Florida are displayed for your viewing pleasure and some are even available for purchase.

Our recommendation:

When eating at Infusion Tea, order one of the Acai Bowls which are created with superfoods and antioxidants. The Nutella Acai is made with acai, coconut flakes, strawberries, Nutella, and agave. The Peanut Butter is made with acai, chocolate chips, sliced bananas, granola, peanut butter, and agave, and you can add almonds and cashews for more protein.

They also make a mean panini! The Original Grilled Cheese is served on warm Ciabatta bread and is filled with creamy Havarti and sharp cheddar. The Pesto Cauliflower Grilled Cheese is also served on warm Ciabatta bread with buffalo cauliflower bites, locally-made pesto, creamy Havarti cheese, and a pesto cream cheese. Each panini is served with Infusion Tea’s edamame three bean salad.

Bikes, Beans, & Bordeaux

What's it like:

This rather unique café has a cycling theme and offers savory dishes that are vegetarian. The down to earth café strives to create an upscale menu that creates a party in your mouth. Bikes, Beans, and Bordeaux plays a big part in the local cycling and running scene in Orlando and works hard to help support local charities.

Our recommendation:

Their breakfast menu is hearty and will get your day started right, the lunchtime menu offers salads, soups, and sandwiches, while their evening menu is a slightly more upscale version of their lunch menu. Most dishes can be made vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten-free. Eco-friendly packaging is used in their café to help reduce their carbon footprint.

Winter Park Biscuit Company

What's it like:

Located next door to Bikes, Beans, & Bordeaux, Winter Park Biscuit Company is a must-visit when searching for amazing American vegan fare. It is one of the best vegan restaurants in Orlando, Fl. It was founded in 2020 and offers vegan tenders, salads, biscuits, burgers, and sandwiches.

Our recommendation:

The vegan burger is juicy and tastes just like its meat counterpart, order a side of fries or creamy coleslaw to compliment your burger. The vegan breakfast sandwich is made with vegan egg and vegan sausage and will kick start your day along with a cup of fragrant coffee or fresh pressed juice.

Veggie Garden

What's it like:

Serving Vietnamese cuisine that is also vegetarian with many of the menu items also being vegan, except for eggs which can be left out of any dish. The Veggie Garden has limited seating so most people place to-go orders and enjoy their food at home or during an impromptu picnic at a nearby park.

Our recommendation:

The soup broth is made with various fruits and vegetables and is their signature broth that is used in several of their dishes. The affordable dishes are filled with flavor and will have you enjoying vegetarian and vegan Asian fare. Give the vegan bao, spring rolls, seaweed soup, Pho, or soy drumsticks and rice noodles a try. Order a side of peanut sauce, it is wonderful.
