Fabrica Coffee Roasters

This is one of the chain coffee shops in this part of the world, but it is no less ideal for your working hours even though it is more mainstream. Fabrica Coffee Roasters actually styles itself intentionally as one of the best cafes for digital nomad workers. There are lots of outlets near the tables here, and the service is fast and reliable. You don't always know if you're welcome as a digital nomad in coffee shops, but this place makes it clear that as long as you buy things, you can work away at any of their tables.

Fabrica Coffee Roasters often feels more like a coworking space than it does a cafe, so you will love that you don't have to feel like you are compromising on the workspace that you have chosen for your day. This is one of the most ideal cafes to work at, and you will be able to enjoy good dining options as well as excellent coffee as you work. And, the prices are very reasonable as well, so you can stay here all day without breaking the bank.

Costa Coffee

With several locations throughout the city, this is a great place to head for predictable coffee, comfortable tables to sit at, and fast wifi. You will not experience the charm of a small shop that is privately owned here, but this might not be what you have been looking for. Being sure that you will get access to a workspace that is ideal for your daily tasks can be much more valuable than getting access to local charm.

If you do arrive late in the morning, you might find it hard to get a space with outlets, so bring your battery pack so that you can work until a table opens up. This is a pretty popular place for digital nomads to work as well, so you might find that many of the other people working with you will stay all day alongside you. Being prepared with alternate charging options is important to get your work done comfortably at this coffee shop.

This is an ideal spot for creative types, and there are few places with so much personality in Porto.

Passeio de São Lázaro, 48, Porto

Mesa 325

Located outside the heart of the city, this is a lovely place for enjoyable coffee and really good food. This spot is less ideal with regard to plug-ins, but if you only need to put an hour or two, this spot will definitely work. Mesa 325 can get a little crowded, so you will need to sit down here early if you want to hold onto your table all day long.

Make sure that you tell the staff that you do not need anything while you are working, or they will continuously come by to check on you and might interrupt you over and over. While not as ideal as a few of the other locations on this list, the food and drinks here are so good that you might not care about the lack of wall outlets or a few interruptions.

Avenida de Camilo, 325, Porto

Combi Coffee in Porto

Combi Coffee

This great working spot was originally a van which has grown into a brick-and-mortar location. Combi Coffee sources its green coffee beans from sustainable locations. This means that you will get the best and most freshly roasted coffee around without sacrificing your beliefs. The owner is always present, and he makes coffee and circulates among the guests in this shop.

This is a small and comfortable location with a lot of personality and comfort to offer. This might not be the ideal place to work if you need to work with a ton of focus since the owner is very social, but you will have a great time chatting him up. It might be worth it to take a long lunch and get to know the owner a little better. And, make sure you try one of their delicious pastries!

R. do Morgado de Mateus nº29, Porto

Café Vitória

Despite being located in the heart of the nightlife district, this location is still one of the best in the city for working and sipping delicious coffee. There is a small patio adjacent to this cafe if you like to be outside while you work. The sounds and people can be a bit of a distraction, but if you pop your headphones in, you'll be good to go.
