The event is flexible and you can purchase tickets for individual performances and exhibits that intrigue you.

Prague Spring International Music Festival - May 12 to June 3

Full of exciting classic music performances, the Prague Spring International Music Festival has a little something for every lover of the genre. It features world-renowned conductors who lead the Vienna Philharmonic and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. If orchestras have become mundane to you, check the performance of Les Siècles, which is a French orchestra that only plays period instruments. There are cello concerts and Prague Offspring is a venture that aims to promote contemporary classical music.

Balkan Food and Music Festival - May 14

The Balkan food and music fest in Prague is a great opportunity to experience the best of both these worlds. Andrea Bocelli - May 17 and May 29

While this may not be a true music festival as such, Andrea Bocelli is playing the O2 Arena in Prague in May and it will be a wonderful show. Part of his Believe world tour, this is a great opportunity to see this amazing singer in person. It's at the largest indoor concert venue in the country, but we all know that his voice will have no problem reaching every single spectator. If you're lucky enough to get concert tickets for one of the shows, it will be an experience you'll remember for a lifetime.

In this same vein, and not an official music fest, 2Cellos is also performing at the O2 Arena the day after Andrea Bocelli on May 18. It's said to be their last tour, so you know it will be something special and even people who don't normally appreciate string music are likely to enjoy the show.

Decibely hněvu 2022 - June 6

Now for something a little outside the typical music festival offerings: Decibely hněvu. Held at the Futurum Music Bar, this event features uniquely national talent and runs the gamut of genre. You'll find everything from rap to punk to metal at this Prague music fest.

The entrance to the venue for the night will set you back about $20, and you'll need a budget for a few drinks at least. But, all in all, this is a cheap night out in Prague with performances you're not likely to see combined outside of the Czech Republic.

Respect Festival - June 18 to 19

This year's Respect Festival will take place in Prague from June 18 to 19. The festival is dedicated to celebrating and promoting respect and tolerance for all people, regardless of their race, religion, or background. There will be a variety of activities and performances taking place throughout the weekend, including music, dance, art, and workshops. You'll watch artists perform from Mali, England, Italy, Ethiopia, and many others. The entry prices range from CZK 500 to 800, which is roughly between $21 and $35. It's a steal for all the entertainment you get.

Metronome Festival - June 23 to 26

Some of the best and brightest talent in the international jazz scene descend on Prague to delight audiences al fresco. Jazz performers from all over the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, and Solvenia provide a wide array of entertainment while you immerse yourself with the stunning architecture and scenery on the historic Old Town Square. Magnetic Festival - September 27

Lovers of electronic dance music and everything that goes along with it need to look no further than Prague's Magnetic Festival. The event truly embodies the spirit and energy of Prague and brings together some of the biggest names in electronic music for a weekend of nonstop partying and dancing. Throughout the course of the festival held at PVA Expo Prague Letnany, you can expect to find multiple stages set up throughout Prague's most iconic venues. Tickets will set you back anywhere from $50 to $125 depending on how long you want to spend here.

XVII. Prague Gothic Treffen - August 26-27

If you are a fan of all things gothic and macabre, then the Prague Gothic Treffen festival should be at the top of your list for this year. Held in August, this popular festival brings together lovers of all things dark for a weekend of music, art exhibits, and film screenings. Whether you are a fan of poetry readings or live performances by some of the biggest names in gothic, punk, and rock music, there is something for (almost) everyone at the Prague Gothic Treffen.

The various venues for this year's event have not yet been announced, but some of the shows you can attend include Minuit Machine, Wisborg, Paar, and The Frozen Autumn. Tickets range from about $20 to $35, so this fest can fit fairly easily into most people's budgets.

Although, if you have attended the events of Bohemia Jazz Fest, you'll have already been there, but the stunning buildings are begging to be explored and photographed. More time in the city center and Old Town will also give you the opportunity to sample some of the best Czech street food and do a little shopping at one of the local markets. Plus, there are plenty of museums to appeal to any history buff or culture fan. The Jewish Museum and the Kafka Museums are two of the most interesting museums in Prague.

Aside from all the lists of great attractions in Prague, you'll ideally want to set aside a little time to relax and immerse yourself in the dining and nightlife that make Prague so special.
