Universal Studios Florida is a production studio and theme park located in Orlando, Florida. A part of the bigger Universal Orlando Resort complex, the theme park first opened its doors to the public on June 7, 1990. The park’s overall theme is the entertainment industry, particularly films and television shows. Universal Studios Florida aims to give guests a “real-life” experience where they get to “ride the movies” through the different attractions, rides, and live shows based on well-known movies and TV shows.
With Universal Studios Florida’s continuous rise in popularity comes its constant development. Most of the old attractions have been replaced by more modern and high-tech simulators and rides. One of the theme park’s biggest draws is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter section, which includes a number of rides such as an indoor roller coaster. The park welcomes millions of guests from all over the world every year, with a record-breaking 10.2 million visitors in 2017. Universal Studios Florida ranks sixth in most visited theme parks in the United States and ninth in the world.
