About Bondi Junction
Bondi Junction in Sydney is famous for three things; sports, shopping, and sightseeing. Aboriginal clans have lived in this area for centuries. However, Europeans first settled in the area during the mid-1800s. One of the first structures built in Bondi Junction was the Waverley House (the inspiration behind Waverly Street). Decades later, the Waverley Tea Gardens hotel would open for business. From then on, Bondi Junction received frequent renovations until it became the suburb that we know today. Even now, Bondi Junction regularly gets updated and improved.
The end result is a suburb, unlike any other. Bondi Junction is filled to the brim with heritage-listed landmarks and exciting activities. Bondi Junction is also the home of the Sydney Roosters rugby team. Last but not least, Bondi Junction houses several amazing shopping centers. It’s easy to see why Bondi Junction is one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations; its scenery, culture, and close proximity to other tourist destinations make it a must-visit venue.
