They are open year round and welcome you to enjoy specialty cocktails, wines, beers, and great food while overlooking the city below. The view is pretty impressive since you will be perched way up on the 12th floor!

Take your pick from a seat on the outdoor terrace or the comfortable indoor lounge which has gorgeous floor to ceiling windows so you won't have to miss out on the view, even from inside. The food that they serve is both internationally and locally inspired so you can get a taste of the local cuisine.

Our recommendation:

Come here for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch! Meet up with friends to order a quiche, tasty shakshuka, or Carne Asada hash in the morning. If you are here for drinks in the evening we recommend the Slush du Jour. It is the perfect drink for a warm summer night.

Not only do they offer great drinks, including Baltic Porters, but they have a great food menu as well. Treat yourself to a traditional New England clam chowder or lobster roll! And make sure that you don't miss trivia night which happens every week on Wednesdays beginning at 8 pm.

If you are looking for something small and light to eat try the citrusy roasted olives or crispy octopus. If you've worked up an appetite, however, you can order something like a salted caramel lobster roll or a maple braised pastrami poutine! Six\West

What's it like:

Six\West offers some of the best drinks in Boston and whether you want an old-fashioned drink made the traditional way or something completely new and unique, they've got you covered. They are open for brunch but really come alive at night when the club opens.

The rooftop deck is sleek and stylish and a nice place to enjoy the fresh air while tasting curated cocktails with friends. You will definitely want to visit on a sunny day but if the weather changes for you there is no need to worry. You can still have a great time in the airy greenhouse made on the roof of the building.

People don't only come here for the views but for the food as well. They serve Italian-styled cuisine but with a special twist that makes their food almost as memorable as the view. Try the Bolognese nachos with a beer or cocktail!

Legal Harborside

What's it like:

Legal Harborside is one of the top destinations for views of the Boston waterfront. It is a multi-level seafood restaurant serving delicious meals and spectacular sights of the city all in one. Once you step foot onto their rooftop deck you won't want to leave, especially once you get comfortable in their lounge chairs.

Legal Harborside is not just any waterfront restaurant. The first of the three floors of the restaurant is reserved for casual all-day dining, the second floor is where you can find a fancier space and signature cocktails, and the third floor is home to the rooftop bar and terrace. Even if the weather isn't nice you can still appreciate the views of the city thanks to the retractable glass walls and ceiling.

This four season rooftop bar can provide you with almost any drink that you desire. Try their specialty cocktails, take a pick from one of the 27 different fine wines that are available, or just opt for a pitcher of punch! Most of their menu is seafood focused so you can order something like sushi or oysters, and a glass of sparkling rosé wine to go with it.

The outdoor rooftop deck is open year round, even when the weather is cold. You won't have to worry about freezing since they have cute round tents with built in heaters to go around the tables that will keep you warm all night, or you can book the firepit table which is great for groups. Sometimes DJs will be there playing live music while you eat.

This spot can get busy so try to get there early and expect a bit of a wait. Once you get a table you will need to decide what to eat, and both their food and drink menus are fantastic. They offer a selection of craft beer, wines or sangrias, and unique cocktails. Try the sweet & spicy pork belly with a pitcher of Seaport Sangria.

The Lookout Rooftop and Bar is found on the 8th floor of the Envoy Hotel in the Seaport District. This modern space is a good spot to admire the city skyline so check them out at 70 Sleeper St, Boston, MA 02210.

Daedalus Restaurant

What's it like:

For healthy food, a nice space to meet up with friends, and the best spot to watch the sun set over the Boston skyline consider going to Daedalus Restaurant. The Lexington

What's it like:

The Lexington is the prime destination for breathtaking views over East Cambridge. The menu at The Lexington is quite impressive so we don't blame you if you don't know what to choose. Try the grilled Berkshire pork chop or maybe a steak tartare. Wash it all down with the CX Common as a drink which is made with gin, dry vermouth, cucumber and mint.
