After dinner, you will turn your attention to the motives of each character and gather the clues being tossed out by the characters. Turn this experience into a friendly competition with your friends and remember to keep your theories and suspicions to yourself! You will compete with the other diners for the Top Sleuth Prize if you are the first one to solve the murder mystery.

RISE Comedy

Denver has several fantastic comedy clubs where you can spend an evening busting a gut as stand-up comedians hone their skills. Formerly known as the Voodoo Comedy Club, RISE Comedy is the only full-time comedy bar and theater in Denver where you can enjoy a show and relax with friends.

Looking for a way to get a laugh on a Saturday night? Spend a few hours chuckling at the antics of the comedians or join in the fun and sign up for a comedy workshop and classes where you can learn just how hard it is to be a stand-up comic. Cabaret shows and karaoke nights, as well as improv shows, are hosted throughout the month, and weekends always see this club packed with a line around the corner.

Haunted Denver Food Tour

This terrific food tour is offered by Nightly Spirits and will last between two and three hours. The tour begins at Celtic on Market Street where you meet your experienced guide. They will take you on a three-quarter mile walking tour of downtown Denver including the chance to enjoy three to four exclusive food tastings.

As you stroll along, your guide will spin interesting and scary ghost stories and many include the restaurants you will be visiting. Perhaps you will meet a spirit or two as you stroll through the darkened streets. You will dine on German, Irish, and traditional American bar food, but the stories that are shared are even better than the food.

Urban Putt

When looking for something a bit unconventional to do in Denver at night, Urban Putt should be right at the top of your list. With two separate courses with nine holes each, you will want to try both courses before you leave. Each hole has an iconic Colorado or Denver attraction that will leave you in stitches.

There is a full-service bar in an old Spaghetti Factory along with an iconic red streetcar, also known as the Denver No. 54, that is now a dining room and can be reserved for private parties. After you spend a few hours enjoying miniature golf, dine on a full range of innovative bar food including tacos, sliders, seared tuna, pretzel knots, and lamb kibbeh.

The Upstairs Circus

Okay, so technically not an actual circus with clowns and acrobats, the Upstairs Circus is one of the best places to visit for an evening of fun in Denver. Take part in woodworking and make butcher boards, leatherworking and make leather card wallets, and create bracelet stacks in a jewelry-making class. While you are making your crafts, indulge in a mocktail, cocktail, glass of wine, or beer. It can be pricey to visit the Upstairs Circus but well worth it as you get to do a fun project and enjoy the cocktail bar. Stay as late as you have energy for, and find a great brunch spot for the next day.

Axe Whooping

Is there really anything better than an axe throwing bar where you can blow off some steam and relieve the stresses of the week? Axe Whooping is definitely a different experience and probably not for everyone, although once you try it, you may become hooked on the exhilarating experience of throwing an axe down a lane toward a target.

For those really feeling irritated, the rage room is a perfect way to unleash your frustration and smash cups, plates, picture frames, electronics, pretty much anything and you can even bring your own stuff to smash. Grab a sledgehammer or baseball bat and start smashing after enjoying a drink or two at the bar.

Milk

Located just down the street from Axe Whooping, Milk is one of the trendiest underground nightclubs in Denver. Housed in the building that was once the historic Jonas Bros. Furs, the large dance floor in the Clockwork Orange Room is a great place to unwind and dance to the thumping music. There are several couches where you can relax and listen to music if you do not feel like dancing.

The music here ranges from hip hop to retro to techno to goth and everything in between. Each of the rooms at Milk offers different music playing. If you are planning on hanging out here, check out their calendar of events to see if there is a specific theme where you may want to dress up in costume and dance the night away.

No Limits Archery

Open seven days a week, No Limits Archery is one of the biggest archery ranges in the United States with both indoor and outdoor ranges where novices and professionals can come to practice their skills. No Limits also has the D.A.R.T. virtual simulation archery target shoots that have been designed specifically for animal target shooting.

Use hammers, baseball bats, and crowbars to destroy items, and if you are looking for something a little more fun ask about their wet room where you will get to smash pumpkins, apples, watermelons, or pretty much any fruit that is in season. You will find yourself immediately de-stressing and having a fun night when you come to SMASH*IT. Plan on Denver transportation to get home – you may not have the zest to drive!

Unser Karting

Get your adrenaline pumping when you hop into one of the gas powered go-karts at Unser Karting. Rev your engine and race around the track as fast as you can go, racing your friends to the finish line. There are a few different tracks to choose from, each one unique with its own challenges for you to master. Ten go-karts are allowed on each track at one time, so reserve your time slot early.

Unser Karting even offers group rates so gather a big group of friends and spend an evening in Denver whipping around the go-kart tracks and getting your blood pumping! These go-karts can go up to 50 mph. Refreshments are available at the Trackside Tavern where you can get a craft beer and quick snacks.

The Buell Theater
